I was watching the 60 Minutes segment about the Guantanamo Bay military detention center.
Opened for business in 2002, so far it has cost the American taxpayer 5 Billion dollars.
And the yearly cost for each of the 162 inmates is 1.7 million. .
Most of the prisoners have been imprisoned 11+ years and have never been charged with a crime. And any information they might posses would be over a decade old. Plus, Osama Bin Laden sleeps with the fishes. So why are we keeping them in a legal limbo?
Heck, after WWII within 3 years all of the Nazi and Japanese war criminal had been tried and sentenced.
The whole thing stinks and makes the U.S. look like any other 3rd world dictatorship.
How many more years and billions of taxpayer dollars are we going to throw away on this insanity called Guantanamo Bay. .
