Grocery Prices FELL in April - Thanks Biden!

What would you like to do for those at the bottom? Other than complain Biden is president. How about some of Bidens suggestions:

  • Minimum wage increases
  • Strengthen labor unions for wage growth
  • Expand healthcare for those at the bottom
  • Child tax credit for middle class.
  • Free the US from OPECs control by diversifying energy
  • Invest in public schools
  • Forgive interest on middle class college loans
  • Loan support for first time home buyers
  • Raise taxes on wealthy and companies to pay for it
The list of actual policies you righties won’t support is never ending. You don’t care about families that aren’t doctors and engineers because you don’t support policies for anyone but them.

Yeah, throw more money at the economy, that'll help bring down inflation. ROFLMAO

Well well well. So grocery prices fell in April and are up 1.1% in the last year. Looks like corporations are learning that high prices slow sales and cause customers to substitute. Additionally now that supply disruptions are lessening we are seeing Food prices stabilize. I know this news will make the conservatives sad. They would like to see a bad economy but just can’t seem to find one. Thank you Biden for your stewardship on food prices.

3…2…1.. until someone posts low prices are killing farmers and that‘s Bidens fault too.

Grocery prices fell on the whole in April, according to data released Wednesday by the Labor Department.

Prices for food at home fell 0.2 percent in April, according to the Labor Department’s consumer price index (CPI), the closely watched inflation gauge. It was the first time food at home prices fell since April 2023 and followed several months of plateauing.

After rising quickly for most of the past three years due to supply chain constraints and the impact of the Ukraine war, grocery prices are up just 1.1 percent over the past 12 months.
Post like this are as dumb as the person that posts them. Inflation has got people going through their savings. Relief now, and so fucking little, means nothing. It does not make up for the money people do not have anymore.

They never will, prices never go back down
Baloney!

In my seventy plus years on this planet they have gone back down to previous levels, or close, of a year or few ago, when inflation factors have been reduced.

The OP and link try to make it sound great that there's a drop of 0.2% versus a rise of about 20+% in past four years result of clueless Biden and his minions.

The data says you are wrong.

Some prices will go back down, but over all the cost will remain higher

But your graph shows a huge jump from the more shallow trend prior to 2020. It shows a four year jump versus what previously took about 20+ years to do.
When adjust for inflation upon purchase power of dollar, they have gone down relatively speaking.

The price index doesn't show relative purchase power increase, if growth of income/wage matches price increase.

Yes, there was a huge jump...but that does not change the fact that overall prices never go back down...wages catch up to the prices

Trump had nothing to do with the fake "Inflation Reduction Act" or "infrastructure" bills. That's all on xiden.

.
You take issue with the infrastructure bill?

And yes Trump dumped trillions into the economy

And xiden dumped trillions more and is continuing to do so. And YES, I have a problem with spending money we don't have on anything. We're already spending more on interest on the debt than we do on defense.
