Here in the inland NW, we get our NG from Avista. They have been the unsuccessful target of acquisition by the Canadians for a few years now. I found it a bit ironic that during this latest cold snap, Avista's NG supplier, which is also Canadian, had problems and we were told to limit our NG usage as well as electricity. All this during -17 temps. Now that it is warming, LOL 5 degrees today, Avista is thanking us for conserving. These actions and players are so transparent as to be laughable.

As a Tesla owner I would never have considered an EV without a garage where it is in reasonably temperate conditions and where I can charge it. Is that the problem in Canada? People living in apartments and having their EV's parked on the street all night?

I have no doubt that China and others are working on hacking into EV's at will in the future as a means of fighting a war, not to mention electric companies which are needed to charge EV's. We are stupid as a bunch of rocks. We are setting ourselves up for future disasters.
