Greece said Tuesday it had approved a landmark $1.68 billion deal with Israel, providing for the procurement of 10 state-of-the-art jet fighters and training of pilots as the government in Athens upgrades its defenses, mainly against its longtime foe Turkey.

The deal, which both sides are set to sign in the coming weeks, marks the biggest defense agreement between Greece and Israel since Athens began shifting its pro-Arab outlook and stance in the Middle East some 20 years ago.

“The Israelis do not trust easily, especially in the field of defense,” said Costas Filis, a professor of international relations in Athens. “So, this deal is not only important for the qualitative edge it will give Greece’s new generation of pilots and armed forces as a whole, but because of the serious message it puts out – that a solid and new depth of relations has been consolidated between Athens and Jerusalem.”

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said the deal would “serve the interests of both Israel and Greece, creating hundreds of jobs in both countries … promoting stability in the Mediterranean.”

This sounds like it's a good deal.

Good. Fuck Turkey. W/O reading deeper sounds like the Jews sold Greece used USA jets.

Whoa looks like Israel makes a ton of money. They probably don't need the tithe the U.S. pays them anymore.

BLUF: The Greek-Israeli development "bilateral" associations across the entire spectrum of diplomacy and commerce.

In the words of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs Comes an INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT: A major development in Greek-Israeli bilateral relations was Greece’s decision pertaining to Law 4018/30.9.2011 which allows Holocaust survivors and their descendants to regain the Greek citizenship. This is a gesture of great sentimental and symbolic value.
The deepening of Greek-Israeli relations is based on the major potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of sectors, including economy, trade, tourism, investments, agricultural development, defence, technology, energy, environment, shipping and education.

Greeks have a long history of hating Jews
Actually everyone does lol

I think this will not only bring the two countries closer together, but it may even begin a shift in the Easter Mediterranean power structure.

I'm not exactly sure about "Jewish Hatred" in Greece. Such cultural conflicts usually change over time if the culture itself does not generationally spread hatred of this sort. The 23 October 1951 edition of the Greek daily “Empros” reported the signing of the Protocol for Greece’s accession to NATO.

Slowly but surely, the NATO Alliance is turning towards a more realistic 21st Century profile. Israel having a defense obligation with Greece and Greece interconnected with a mutual defense agreement with NATO, puts Israel one step closer to a NATO association.

The includes ten Aermacchi M-346 aircraft Advanced Jet Trainer, along with a flight school and all that maintenance and logistics that go with a school. The Aermacchi (built by Leonardo) is a trainer that has a four-channel Fly-By-Wire Flight Control System. It is a 21st Century Jet Trainer and a bit more advanced than the USAF Northrop T-38 Talon.

(IMO) This is a very good direction for Israel to be headed.

Too sucker... they are still going to get the aid for defense and there is nothing a loser like you can do about it . How does that make you feel!
