Funny thing about "Pride" and some of its recent manifestations:
Black pride,
Gay pride,
American pride,
Gray pride...
They all refer to things that (1) can really fuck up you life if you let them, and (2) you can't do anything about.
But really, how can you be "proud" of something that you had nothing to do with?
