Former Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who oversaw the chaotic confirmation hearings of now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, wants to know why individuals who made false claims under oath still haven't been prosecuted.

After a lengthy investigation, the Committee found that all allegations made against Kavanaugh, including by main Democrat witness Christine Blasey Ford, lacked evidence. Worse, provably false allegations were made under oath and a number of individuals were referred to the Department of Justice for prosecution. The lack of evidence was detailed in a 500-page long report, which was published in November 2018.
"Committee investigators found no verifiable evidence that supported Dr. Ford’s allegations against Justice Kavanaugh. The witnesses that Dr. Ford identified as individuals who could corroborate her allegations failed to do so, and in fact, contradicted her," the report states.

Hmmm... If I could take a wild guess? Would it be that the Justice Department is political, and will only prosecute individuals that stand in the way of advancing Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat Left causes? Nahh… no way. It should be very obvious by now....

If I had to guess, I'd say the lack of prosecution was a strategic decision. Public prosecution of a voluntary witness would discourage future witnesses from coming forward. Also, the Justice Dept has limited funds and personnel and much more important cases to work on.
Any prosecution decision is a matter of priorities. The Senate Committees can ferry out lies without Justice getting involved, as they did here. Her lies were not believed and the Justices were confirmed. No damage was done to the legal system.

Keyser refused, and has stuck by her story–though she has also claimed that, even though she can’t corroborate the story, she believes Ford’s account.

The Wall Street Journal reported that people “familiar with the matter” had made the bombshell claim. The Journal wrote:

“Leland Keyser, who Dr. Ford has said was present at the gathering where she was allegedly assaulted in the 1980s, told investigators that Monica McLean, a retired Federal Bureau of Investigation agent and a friend of Dr. Ford’s, had urged her to clarify her statement, the people said.


The statement to the FBI offers a glimpse into how Dr. Ford’s allies were working behind the scenes to lobby old classmates to bolster their versions of the alleged incident, as were Judge Kavanaugh’s.

The Journal added:

A person close to the former classmates said it was her understanding that mutual friends of Dr. Ford and Ms. Keyser, including Ms. McLean, had contacted Ms. Keyser after her initial statement to warn her that her statement was being used by Republicans to rebut the allegation against Judge Kavanaugh.
