Grandad shot by armed gang as grandchild slept just metres away
The Liverpool Echo reported that police were called to the property at 11pm last night.
The man is understood to have confronted the gunmen, who ran back out through the front door and then fled on foot towards nearby roads.
It was claimed a neighbour’s back yard door had been forced through - but detectives believe the gang entered and left the home through the front door.
Nothing is believed to have been taken in the attack, as the raiders were quickly disturbed.
