Government efficiency on video

14 people to move log chunks 15 feet. One person actually cutting the log and 13 others plus their supervisors to get it to the curb.

Seriously, this is how the government operates. Two rednecks have that tree gone in 20 minutes.

you were a little late getting your talking points email, there area already threads on this.

which would take 10 times as long.

The way they are doing it is very efficient.
The only way you could make that job longer is union breaks between each piece of log for the entire crew.

The only efficiency you saw there was the transfer of tax dollars to worthless fucking people doing next to nothing.

Uh, no more the distance they were taking them, with as many people as they had, they could have done it in half the time.

They passed ONE log at a time. Now, had they had a chain of logs continually going, you might have a point.

A long time ago I read about this one very high up person in the USPS. He had been there for a long time. He finally decided to retire and after retiring he spilled the beans. He said that his high paid position was worthless. He said he got like three months vacation per year and while there he basically did nothing because others under him did all the work. He literally did pretty much nothing for years and years and got paid a very high salary for it. He said he purposely waited until retiring to come out with it.

Sounds like he was a good manager. If you get good people working for you, train them well and allow them to operate, you don’t have to do more than give some high level guidance on occasion.

Of course since the USPS has the worst features of private enterprise and governmental bureaucracy, finding good people would be a problem.
