He's the governor of the state. He has the authority and control of law enforcement. Not the federal government. ICE agents being on the streets of any state is what is illegal.

The governor tells the federal government what they can and can't do in the state. Not the other way around.

The state legislature has the power to pass laws that hold any federal employee in its borders accountable for any actions that violate it's laws.

I see the Constitution isn't your strong suit.

The problem with ICE Detainers is that local law enforcement doesn't have enough space to hold suspected undocumented immigrants (which again, is only a misdemeanor) for months at a time while they wait for ICE to come get them.

Urban Police Departments don't hassle the immigrant community for a reason. It's counterproductive to actual law enforcement.
