California's Gov. Brown gets choir director pal six-figure job at government agency: report
In the book Primary Colors, written under anonymous (later Joe Klein admitted it was him) was widely believed to be an insiders account of 1992 Clinton presidential primary campaign. The book was written as fiction, but the characters were easily matched to real life political players. The book was released in 1996 and later made into a movie. The character Gov. Freddy Picker was identified as representing the real life Gov. Jerry Brown. Picker is forced out of primary after the Southern state governors campaign (Clinton...played by John Travolta) digs up dirt that he had a gay affair with a young Hispanic man. Picker blamed it on the times and his cocaine abuse. Makes we wonder about Brown getting this guy a job. Was it to shut him up?
