GOP tax bill: AT&T, Boeing among corporations rewarding employees

I congratulate companies like AT&T and Boeing spreading the wealth

But I would like to remind them that this 50% tax cut is permanent
Will they be spreading the savings every year?

If this is true, why didn't Obama go after them?

Obama made them an offer to pay their back taxes for a very small percentage of what they owed.

Why he didn't go after them I don't know. But only one Presidential candidate was aggressive about doing something about it, and the amount of money that would have been brought back to pay towards the debt is unreal.

and he is, he has tax cuts, he'll work trade policy and then for the piece de resitance, the penalty for not taking the deals earlier..

I look at it like Palestine. They were given every effort to obtain piece but they denied it every time, finally Trump said, ok, well we're moving to Jerusalem, you missed your chance on that. He'll do it with the overseas cash. Give them a chance and if not, they will regret it.

Trump did it just to troll the rest of the world... and because his son and law is a Jew.
Your socialism bent is clear. You have lost and will continue to do so.

It is? You came up with that based on THAT post?

Just FYI... Trump just commuted the sentence of Jewish man in prison for money laundering.

The decision to intervene on behalf of Sholom Rubashkin, who ran the Iowa headquarters of a family business that was the country's largest kosher meat-processing company, came at the urging of numerous members of Congress and a long list of high-ranking law enforcement officials, who argued the sentence was far too harsh for a first-time, nonviolent offender.

And did YOU read the article? He had 389 illegal aliens working at his plant.

So the President that is extremely against illegal aliens, just committed the sentence of a man guilty of an egregious violation. And you, who talks shit about immigration policy, just defended the decision. Congrats on putting your hypocrisy out there in the open.

I don't know enough about it to comment, but I thought he was jailed for money laundering. If he had the aliens then jail him for that with due process of course. How is it hypocrisy when that wasn't the story.

The White House said the president's decision to review Rubashkin's sentence was driven by concerns raised by a bipartisan group of more than 100 former high-ranking law enforcement and Justice Department officials, including multiple former attorneys general, as well as prosecutors, judges, and legal scholars.

I already told you what his intentions are... to please his son and law, and his favorite daughter. Kushner and his family are also personal friends of Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Netanyahu has long been a friend of the Kushners, and particularly Jared’s dad, Charles Kushner, a major donor to pro-Israel and Jewish causes. One time, Kantor reports – she doesn’t specify when – Jared gave up his bed and moved to the basement so Netanyahu could spend the night at their home in Livingston, New Jersey."

yeah, ok, I just read the first couple of pages. He laundered money, both parties and law enforcement said he should be commuted, it doesn't get any more partisan....Where did I say you were being partisan about this story?

Bonuses paid by companies to employees are considered a business expense, which means they are paid by a corporation pre-profit tax. Additionally, those companies like AT&T aren't seeing the extra profits now, which means they could have afforded those additional bonuses anyway, but didn't care to give them to their workers.

Stephenson is using this opportunity as a PR stunt to grease Trump's ego ahead of the March 19th hearing on the AT&T-Time Warner merger.

GREAT ... taxpayers will need a little extra cash in their piggy bank when the tax cuts add an EXTRA TRILLION DOLLARS to the deficit.

A tenth of what Obama and the Democrats increased the deficit. Pardon us if we don't take your crocodile tears seriously.

You mean the debt, but OK....so before Obama, Bush added more to the debt than any President before him. Where was all this debt concern then? You blindly supporting increasing the debt by at least $1.5T runs in direct contradiction to the rhetoric you and your kind have been spitting on these boards the last 8 years.

Let the Democrats and MSM's heads start exploding. This is just the beginning.

•AT&T is paying bonuses of $1,000 to more than 200,000 U.S. employees.
•AT&T's CEO said it was in response to tax reform.
•The House of Representatives on Wednesday sent tax reform legislation to President Donald Trump, who is expected to sign it soon.

AT&T was quick to respond to news of U.S. tax reform, announcing it would give some employees bonuses once the law is official.

The telecom giant said in a press release on Wednesday that it would give more than 200,000 U.S. union members a special bonus of $1,000. The company also increased its capital expenditures budget by $1 billion in the U.S.

"Congress, working closely with the President, took a monumental step to bring taxes paid by U.S. businesses in line with the rest of the industrialized world," CEO Randall Stephenson said in a statement. "This tax reform will drive economic growth and create good-paying jobs. In fact, we will increase our U.S. investment and pay a special bonus to our U.S. employees."...........

Publicity stunt

That seems to be multiplying. More to come. It's common sense.....which is why Obama and the Dems doubled down on penalizing companies and their workers.

This is just the start of companies handing out bonuses, raising wages and boosting spending

Like the Carrier jobs Trump pretended to save but didn't, this too will be another prediction that doesn't come to fruition. Handing out $1K employee bonuses is a business expense which is deducted before a single cent of profit is taxed.

So you're getting conned.

Oh Wow! Awesome... that's ONE company out of millions.

Yeah, those 200k employees would have been much better off without that extra $1,000 + in their pockets.

You remember that $400+ one time stimulus payment that Obama gave out? Yeah well it was proven it really didn't do much. Sure what AT&T did is nice on the surface, but a raise that last longer would be a whole lot better.

Feel free to do that for your employees......oh wait........

Its hard to take a person named Derp seriously. Your name fits you cupcake.

Your attempt to gaslight me based on my screen name is very telling; it says you don't know anything about this subject, but your ego compels you to respond.
