GOP majority say Jan. 6 protesters ‘treated worse’ than BLM rioters

An unarmed woman executed for simple trespass? Mom and pop demonstrators get ten years for a misdemeanor? You bet the Jan 6 people were treated unfairly.

She was in a violent confrontation in a mob attack on the Senate Chamber, refused to follow lawful LEO commands, and took a righteous bullet right between the tits.

As Republican support firms up behind President-elect Donald Trump’s promise to pardon protesters charged and convicted in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol affair, resentment is growing that liberal Black Lives Matter rioters got off easier for their 2020 violence.

A new survey shared with Secrets said that 51% of Republicans feel that the Black Lives Matter rioters were given better treatment than Jan. 6 protesters.
In the new Napolitan poll, even 19% of Democrats agreed.

GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN: WHAT HAPPENS IF CONGRESS DOESN’T PASS A STOPGAP SPENDING BILL

Overall, according to pollster Scott Rasmussen, 34% said Jan. 6 protesters were treated worse than Black Lives Matter protesters, 22% said they were treated better, and 20% said they were treated about the same.

How the Justice Department handled those involved in the two protests has irked Republicans for years. Critics claim that Black Lives Matter and antifa rioters were not rounded up for their violence in big cities and against police headquarters as much as Jan. 6 protesters, most of whom did nothing violent.

Antifa and BLM were photographed for weeks burning cars and looting following the May 2020 death of George Floyd while in Minneapolis police custody. They caused $2 billion in damages.

Trump has said that he will begin pardoning Jan. 6 protesters on the first day of his presidency, arguing that most have served in jail long enough.

Rasmussen said that the pardon of Hunter Biden by his father President Joe Biden has helped to clear the way for Trump’s plan.

“These numbers highlight the hyper-partisan nature of our current political moment. Republicans tend to think the BLM rioters got off easy while Democrats say the same about the January 6 protesters,” Rasmussen told Secrets.

“While pardoning the January 6 protesters is not popular with voters, it’s no less popular than President Biden’s pardon of his son. In a sense, then, Biden helped Trump by giving him political cover,” he said.

“In the long run, if Trump pardons the protesters, it’s likely to have little impact on his presidency. If the economy improves and the border is secured, voters will be pleased. Additionally, because of Biden’s behavior, the Ds won’t have any luck trying to gain the moral high ground,” he added.

so true all jan 6 people did was walk around saying were is security. blm destroyed whole cities and killed cops;. there the ones who should bein jail.
"Feel". Nobody gives two ***** about what delusional red hats "feel".

She was climbing through a window. Did she deserve to die because the left wing media called it a "violent confrontation" when in fact it was mostly a peaceful demonstration?

Her actions and her pals were not part of a peaceful demonstration. "She was in a violent confrontation in a mob attack on the Senate Chamber, refused to follow lawful LEO commands, and took a righteous bullet right between the tits."

It's not true that she was "unarmed". She was armed with (leading) an angry and violent mob.

And people are not sentenced to a year or more for a "simple" (misdemeanor) trespass. I have no access to information on the mom & pop demonstrators you're referring to getting 10 years, but if so it is highly unlikely that it was for simple trespass.

Simple trespass is typically classified as a misdemeanor or a civil infraction, depending on the jurisdiction and the circumstances of the case. It is rarely considered a felony, as it usually involves no harm, damage, or criminal intent.

Classification and Penalties:

  1. Misdemeanor:
    • In most jurisdictions, simple trespass is treated as a misdemeanor.
    • Penalties may include:
      • Fines (often modest, such as $100-$500).
      • Community service.
      • Probation.
      • Short-term jail time (rare for simple trespass unless there are aggravating circumstances).
  2. Civil Infraction:
    • In some cases, simple trespass is not treated as a criminal offense but rather as a civil violation.
    • Penalties might include a fine or restitution to the property owner but no criminal record.
  3. Felony:
    • Simple trespass rarely escalates to a felony.
    • It may become a felony if it involves aggravating factors, such as:
      • Trespassing with intent to commit a serious crime (e.g., theft or assault).
      • Trespassing on highly restricted or sensitive property (e.g., military bases, nuclear facilities).

Example:

  • Misdemeanor: Entering someone’s backyard without permission, where no damage occurs.
  • Felony: Trespassing onto a government facility with intent to vandalize or disrupt operations.
For specific legal consequences, it’s best to consult the trespassing statutes in the relevant jurisdiction.

What was that guy's name who put his clodhoppers on Pelosi's desk? Biggie something

Richard "Bigo" Barnett, a 60-year-old man from Gravette, Arkansas, was photographed with his feet on a desk in then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office during the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

In January 2023, Barnett was convicted on eight charges, including civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, and theft of government property.

In May 2023, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

Babbit wasn't executed and what they did was not simple trespass.

Her actions and her pals were not part of a peaceful demonstration. "She was in a violent confrontation in a mob attack on the Senate Chamber, refused to follow lawful LEO commands, and took a righteous bullet right between the tits."
She was unarmed and posed no physical threat but she deserved to die because the media claimed it was a "violent confrontation"? WTF?

OK, let's get something straight here, you racists want to try comparing 1-6 to the George Floyd Protests. And that is the proper name for what happened, not the BLM protests. Millions of people attended those protests who didn't have ANYTHING to do with BLM.

Second, since you racists want to compare things, show us videos of people stealing the election from Trump. Because the George Foyd protests happened after the entire country watched a series of American citizens being murdered by police, and saw George Floyd murdered by police on video.

1-6 happened because one man made up a lie and thousands of dumbasses chose to believe it. You racist did all that for nothing. 1-6 happened because of fake news. You racists tore up the capital for no reason. You guys committed an act of violence because you imagined something. The entire day was evidence of right-wing white psychosis and that psychosis continues to this very day.

There is no sane comparison between 1-6 and the George Floyd protests.

She and that mob posed a physical threat.

15th post
She and that mob posed a physical threat.
Are today's angry disappointed lefties so freaking insane that they think an unarmed (white) woman who posed no physical threat deserved to die because she "was part" of a violent demonstration? Keep it up lefties, let's hear all the justification for executing an unarmed white female who posed no threat.

So you have officers who were actually in fear of their lives who didn’t fire on the crowd. Compare that to Ashley’s murderer who was in no direct danger.
There was no murder, only deadly stupidity by the invaders.
