Trump is Republican, so they have more skin in the game so to speak.
I'd support Bill Barr & Matt Whitaker to do a real investigation, Moreso than Wray or Garland.
Hell, I'd even say the PA State Police would do a more thorough investigation.
I'd especially like polygraphs to be used.

Trump was half an inch from being on a slab. The American public was in shock and the Secret Service as well as the FBI was silent while the freaking president took a couple of sick days off and nobody was in charge during those chaotic days. Republicans are trying to get to the bottom of what appears to be at most a conspiracy to assassinate the former president and at the very least, criminal negligence. You almost gotta scratch your head when the hard core left calls it a nick on the ear while innocent Americans were also shot and killed in the most important event in modern history.

Fact is unlike Reagan Trump did not end up in an emergency room with life threatening wound(s).
He got nicked in the ear. The wound itself is minor. LOL
Failed Assassination attempts are more common than the public knows.
Other people were seriously wounded and one was killed. Do not conflate that with Trump's little wound.

Easily predicted that: GOP Members will grandstand speaking of the Secret Service as being the Biden/Harris Secret Service. The House Democrats had a choice here -- allow the GOP to put forth hearings without Dem input, creating bs that Dems don't care about Presidential security and protections, or join with the GOP creating the illusion that this Task Force bs is truly bi-partisan. It's not. How do we know? They had to strike a deal.
This is so reminiscent of GOP led crap during previous presidential campaign seasons.
The GOP when in charge fails to do the people's business. But it does run stuff like this well. Watch for the news reports that will compete with anything productive Harris/Biden do or have to say.

Hand grenades? A firefighter was killed trying to shield his family from assassin's bullets intended for the former president. Losing part of an ear might seem trivial to the left but it was the most important political event in modern history. Now is the time to get to the bottom of the conspiracy and/or criminal negligence but so far nobody in the Biden administration is talking other than a subpoena. It's a shocking response to the attempted assassination of a former president and political opponent.
