Probably going to need background checks before filling up your car in Japan....and a skills test before you pump gas.....and they need to have licenses now just to pump gas, on top of the license to drive a car.....if not an outright ban on gas...

A man screaming “You die!” burst into an animation studio in Kyoto, doused it with a flammable liquid and set it on fire Thursday, killing 33 people in an attack that shocked the country and brought an outpouring of grief from anime fans.

A fire, suspected to be arson, at a Kyoto, Japan animation studio has left at least 33 people dead and hospitalized more with injuries. A man in his 40s, allegedly seen pouring a flammable liquid at the site and setting it on fire, has been taken into police custody.

This is just tragic on so many levels. Evil people do evil things and there is not a single law that will prevent it.

A fire in 2001 in Tokyo’s congested Kabukicho entertainment district killed 44 people in the country’s worst known case of arson in modern times. Police never announced an arrest in the setting of the blaze, though five people were convicted of negligence.

There was some asshole that set fire to a nightclub in New York a couple of decades ago, murdered 80 some odd people. Just poor kids out for a fun night dancing and this asshole burns them to death.
