This is fantastic news.

It's gotten so bad that I've stopped answering my phone unless I recognize the number. Even if the call comes from a local area code. The robocalls spoof numbers to make it look like a local call.

I'm thankful the company I use for my phone is one of the 12 . If the company you use isn't on the list now don't worry, more are being added to the list.

Maybe the advertising and marketing companies
should pay a flat rate toward phone bills of customers
who AGREE to be on a list to use their numbers for marketing.

If you sign up, you get a discount off your bill for all the ads
used on your phone and your time.

If you don't sign up, your number isn't used for this.

And require businesses to pay to use the list of numbers
where the customers agreed to useage contracts.

If companies aren't allowed to post on billboards without
paying for the space, why not make them rent phone time?
Like paying drivers to display their company signs or
stickers on their cars. Why not pay customers who choose this?

Our phone doesn't ring. If it's important, the caller can leave a message.

got tired of the calls a few months ago.

If they do something to stop them, I'll be happy as hell.

until they do, I've got a call blocker in my line, and it does a great job.
