Give 'em hell Barry!!!!!!

wtf? do you CARE more for politicians than the AMERCIAN TAXPAYERS?
this man was ALREADY GIVEN 800 billion dollars of OUR MONEY and NONE of it HELPED US. So you think we should give them MORE?
Sad isn't it? Not a single idea of how to accomplish his pie in the sky bullshit, no indication of how to pay for it, yet it's a great speech.
No wonder he still has 40% approval.

That's not exactly true. Extending the payroll tax cuts is a consistent theme in the Jobs Bill. Altough I'll agree the spending offsets somewhat moot the cuts...

extending the payroll tax doesn't work when you have less employed tax payers to take from

Kind of hope that what is happens.

In any case..this speech was not combative. So if nothing gets done..it really is on congress.

Sallow got that feel good feeling from obama's speech, it's like a drunk that just went on an all nighter. Ya'll have to excuse him for talking like a drunk

Um..no.

It was refreshing to see a man who could cognitively string paragraphs together after watching the Pugfest the night before.

There were actual lunatics on the stage running for president, like Bachmann, Cain and Paul.

I know this is hard..but follow..

Mo' Money = Mo' Demand = Mo' Jobs. (Payroll tax)

As opposed to:

Mo' Money = Sock it away = Nuttin. ( Tax cuts for the rich )

Hope that helps.

He never said he didn't like it. he is saying Bush got out of going to the rice paddies by joining the national guard.

apparently, the truth troubles our friend avatar. so much so that rather than acknowledge the truth of the statement, he has to pretend it's somehow bashing the military to tell the truth

oh...and avatar.... they absolutely DID get out of going to vietnam by joining the guard in those days (unlike what happened during iraq). it was the poor schmucks who got sent off to the rice paddies.

uhmmmmm, a weee bit yes and a lot of no.

of a third and a tad (38%) of those that were drafted (service wide), only 25% in toto actually were IN Vietnam.

and as far as education goes they were more highly educated by a huge margin than say those in ww2.

Oh and the other old canard? minorities being fed as fodder ? they were actually underrepresented by pop. % as KIAs.

given that there were student deferments, i'd say that your assertion about them being more educated is false.

they were also black by a much higher percentage than in WW2.

you don't ever get it right, do you?

and yet you make up "facts" without a thought to whether it's rational.

thanks for playing.

when your neighbor beside you has no job you do not pay attention to that when you neighbor on the other side loses his job you may notice but continue on your way to work, when you are the only one in your neighborhood working you aren't going top spend anything. You aren't going to make large purchase youÂ’re going to hold on to that money and only buy things you need.

I hope this helps

The government creates jobs?

If you somehow read that into what I said, I have some water front proprety in the desert for sale. Care to buy it sight unseen?

Iam sure you can see the water with your imagination.

It's too bad those who criticize Obama and his ideas are unable to offer anything of substance; well, not too bad, it simply provides more evidence that those who support the far right are stupid. A shout out to Odd-dude, one of the dumbest of the dumb.

Cut, Cap, and Balance has substance. That passed in the House but is stalled (by Reid) in the Senate. Plenty of Romney's ideas are very good. I specifically like the one that puts a limit on the limits the federal government can put on the economy.

So right and from what I understand there are other bills passed by the House that are just gathering dust on Reids desk. The GOP has ideas. They just can't get past the Senate.

I listened to his speech. Heard the "Pass my bill" 17 times. Heard all the class warfare bs and the Rich need to pay more. Heard all the spend now and pay for it over 10 years. Yup. Same old same old.

Jesus how disgusting. He was talking about the manufacturing jobs leaving the US while Jeff Immelt sits next to his wife. The same Immelt who runs GE. GE that uses a tax loophole to cache billion offshore and not pay taxes on it. The same GE that is shipping jobs to China. GE who's CEO is Jeff Immelt. The same Immelt who is the Jobs Tzar for Obama. What a ******* joke.

Oh yeah. Great speech. Well deliverd but BS none the less.

So you want the government to stop spending money?

Raytheon, GM, Boeing, Halliburton, General Dynamic, Xe services, Exxon, and a plethora of other corporations and industries are sure going to be upset without the Tax Payer cash..but heck..

Just curious....

It's slighty better then "It's Hard Work.."

But I can live with it.

By the way..Immelt's a Republican. :eusa_shhh:

15th post
im going to adopt a little ass backwards Conservative mythology here. After Reading past page 5, sure does seem Obama has the right all in tizzy, hes doing something right.

Too bad he's supposed to be working WITH the right, though, huh???

How does not raising revenue pay for anything?

:eusa_eh:

Obama really laid it out tonight. He almost sounded like Harry Truman (of whom my wife had the pleasure to meet).

.

Well, he'd better. The biggest asset he had was that black preacher cadence that can get people fired up, which, so far as I've seen, he's rarely used. So far he's just rolled over and let the Repubs frame the issues. If he can't get it "laid out" and keep hammering it home, he's going to be in big trouble in NOV 12.
