Getting old. Old, I tell ya.

It's weird the things you do remember.....I bought a M1934 "blank slide" Beretta pistol made in '43, looked at the serial number and knew instantly that it was 3K earlier than known examples.

LOL....I bet I had not even thought of a M1934 in 20+ years....Much less a "blank slide" but that tidbit stuck in my mind for some reason.....WTF?

What I seem to remember is every cringe moment from my life going back to Grade school.

I had a train of thought a few moments ago. I then thunked to myself (because I find it difficult to think to others, lacking ESP as I do). To find out about it, I decided to start with AI.

I most often use ChatGPT. Buy thunked it might be fun to try-out GROK. So, I downloaded THAT brand of AI. Fast and easy.

But, it turns out that I had forgotten what little snippet of information I had been hoping to look-up in the first place.

I have left middle age behind. I’m officially old, I tell ya.

I mean seriously. wtf? I do kind of laugh at Biden. But that’s because he was nominally our President. But sometimes I see similar signs in myself.

I’d use Prevagen, but I don’t know if it works and, besides, I keep forgetting to buy it.

Made it a point to buy some vitamins a couple of months ago to help with my energy levels.

They have been sitting in the cabinet ever since because I can't remember to take them.

I'll be 76 the end of next month, and I'm glad to say I haven't shown any signs of memory problems.

I'm definitely overweight, have COPD, down to a dozen teeth, my back hurts almost constantly, and wear bifocals.

What was the question again?

I am 68, I forget stuff on occasion. I am way overweight, have bad asthma but not COPD. Have no teeth, I am bedridden but my back hurts at times too, even in bed. I don't wear my glasses as I am nearsighted and everything I look at generally is close by. My neck hurts when I get up, I assume cause the muscles are weak from me lying in bed the last 4 years.

The search mission was a smashing success. I found them,

on the top of my head.

I've been wearing glasses since 2nd grade, you get a better 6th sense for their location after decades of wearing them.

That of course is negated after a hard night of drinking and you have to search the bed, the sheets and the floor under and around said bed for them, all while blind as a bat.

Only to find them perched on your own forehead, eh? LOL Been there--done that.

I've put things where "I'll be sure to find them" before only to find that 'no brainer' location was where someone with no brain would find them. Not so much for someone who thinks logically. LOL

No, they were usually somewhere on the floor, as I put them on the bed instead of the shelf when I passed out. I need my glasses for everything, so they don't get much forehead time.

Back when I vaped, I looked for my mod for about an hour, only to find it in my left hand. I normally used it in my right hand.

I can relate with Clint. I never looked like Rowdy Yates, but I can see the same transition with my aging. LOL
