Yawns. Wall Street is starting to waken up to the fact that streaming isn't the next big thing. Disney is down. Netflix is down. CNN+ is dead. Who knows what the hell is going to happen with the strange ass HBO/Discovery/CNN streaming package, but they are desperately trying to put together a cable-lite streaming bundle that somehow manages to pay for itself. Turns out a la carte programming isn't as profitable as forcing people to pay you whether they watch you or not through their cable and satellite subscription fees.

Or is could just be markets. But I doubt content that people don't want has something to do with it. I cancelled around the first of the year just because HBO and amazon had "more stuff" so why shell out an extra $20 for what I don't watch.

I don't want Netflix to go away, but I do want them to damn near go bankrupt so they can see the error of their ways and change course.

Same thing with Disney, I like Disney but I want them to stop pushing woke agendas and stop politicizing themselves and just go back to their only goal of making good products.

I stopped subscribing to Netflix and I won't go back till they have shown for a year or so they backed away from the woke branding stuff.

But honestly with Tubi and Pluto being free I have no need for Disney or Netflix, they have more shit free than I am able to watch.

When I have to pay as much as I do for things anymore and my pay isn't being increased along with it I have to cut out un needed things and I'll start with woke branded nonsense.

I think it is if you you look at the wider picture. Even Roku which is free has seen its stock drop by more than 50% in the last year. The markets had an "irrational exuberance" moment for streaming and now reality is setting back in. Sure personal economics are part of the deal, but streaming just isn't developing enough programming that sticks around long enough to develop a committed fan base. As a result, people are going to more readily cancel their subscriptions than with cable and satellite.

The gay agenda is not just coming from Netlfix. For me, it is a major issue on broadcast TV too. You can't watch ANY programming that does inflict gay content anymore even if it has nothing to do with the subject matter. I am tired of watching 2 men swapping spit or engaging in unnatural acts, clothed or not.

yeah. And Barry is on HBO and Saul is on AMC, and Yellowstone (I think) Paramount? Euphoria is on HBO, and I started watching that after learning it was not just a more porn oriented version of Hannah Montana or Full House ... Wait IS. LOL Then there was Gilded Age.

I started out with Netflix back in the DVD in the mail days.

I still have DTV, but my kid's betrothed is all ala carte. The apt she's in several days a week has more cable than I can watch.

It's a jungle out there. LOL

I used to have Netflix but I cancelled Netflix a few years ago when they started going for more international subscribers. It just seemed like half of the content they were adding each month was in Hindi or Korean, at the expense of content in English or Spanish.

And besides, there's lots of sites that stream anything that's on Netflix for free anyways. FF2, Yesmovies, Bflix, Cmovies, Batflix etc.. etc...
