Which is why employee discipline and termination rules exist.
This man was still a police officer because police unions, like teachers unions, exist to protect the bad apples.

One of the problems is that "we just can't act like the white man mantra". And the kicker is they use all of the comforts the white man invented while they spew it. I disagree. That is one of the problems. The biggest one being complete distrust between the communities. Without that video of the knee on his neck he might have gotten away with it. Over a 20 dollar bill.

He should never have been there in the first place.
He had a long history of overreaction, anger issues among other problems.
A person like him should not be a police officer. But he was - because police unions protected him.
Just like teachers, it is next to impossible to fire them... even for egregious violations.
