General Flynn pleads - GUILTY! - Lock him up!... and Hillary laughs and laughs and laughs!

Panic Spin
The top responses from the White House today have been, first, everybody lies in Washingtonand now claiming that the Obama White House in fact authorized Mike Flynn’s secret calls with Russian Ambassador Kislyak.

For the Record:

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT FLYNN PLEADING GUILTY TO THREE FEDERAL CRIMES.

Name them sfb...

Mea culpa, he plead to one charge, lying to the FBI ( 18 USC § 1001 ). On the radio in my van this morning three counts were included in the Information, Flynn apparently only plead to one today. Makes sense, if he recants his promise to cooperate he can go to trial on the other two, which I don't recall from this morning, but one is surely failure to register as a foreign agent, and possibly perjury.

Well? This is Friday night.
Will there be a Saturday Night Massacre tomorrow night?
Or will it be next Saturday?

We live in fun times. Folks!
Can the Great Douche handle the pressure, or will the DOUCHE
cut and run, as the cowardly crybaby it is?
If he gets his 1 Tillion tax cut, he will run with a pardon. If not,
he will take out the GOP! WHEE! All good.

Here is ten hours of Hillary Clinton laughing. Get used to it. We are going to be hearing it a lot.

Wow, what a great picture.

Nothing FAKE about a guilty plea.

Key Issue in Flynn Plea Deal

The key question out of the Flynn plea agreement is the identity of the person referenced as a “senior official of the Presidential Transition Team” and another termed a “very senior member of the Presidential Transition Team”.

The plea deal has Flynn discussing his contacts with Russian Ambassador Kislyak with the first person (“senior official”) and then the second person (“very senior member”) giving him specific direction to Flynn to contact foreign governments, including Russia, about a UN resolution tied to Israel. This is what is behind the headlines about Flynn getting instructions from senior transition officials about his contacts with foreign governments.

The first point to note is that Flynn was the person running the Trump foreign policy operation. That is what a modern National Security Advisor does. From everything we know, it’s what Flynn was doing in the latter months of the campaign and certainly during the transition. In other words, it’s not clear that there was anyone in the campaign who outranked Flynn on foreign policy matters. Other than the President-Elect or conceivably the Vice President-Elect, Flynn is the guy who would do the directing rather than getting direction.

The ‘very’ in “very senior member” seems like an almost over the top effort to convey just who it was the prosecutors are talking about. It’s hard to see that that is not either Pence or President Trump, though it also strikes me as perhaps a bit too coy to refer to the incoming President as a member of transition team.

A close confidant told ABC News that Flynn felt abandoned by Trump in recent weeks, and told friends about the decision to make the plea deal within the last 24 hours as he grew increasingly concerned about crippling legal costs he would face if he continued to contest the charges.

Noticeably absent from the guilty plea was any mention of his financial dealings with Turkey
That is where he would have done serious time

He must have something significant to offer
If the DA is not going after F's issues with Turkey, then he has a blockbuster to trade on Trump.

Wait for the tweets from El Orange-o.
Trump will claim he never met Flynn

I think he's already started doing that.

Republicans on Fox are twisting themselves into pretzels trying to make sense of this.

Nah, Trump has no reason to worry. This all happened after the election, so it isn't proof at all of collusion to WIN the election which is what democrats have been pushing unsuccessfully for 18 months now.
Exactly.
But these libroids are so willing to believe anything that Mueller produces they don't care if it doesn't add up.
