Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a trio of vetoes late Friday evening that are sure to anger his progressive allies ā including an unexpected rejection of a bill requiring judges to consider childrenās gender identities in custody disputes.
On the losing end of the Democratic governorās actions are three mainstays of liberal support: LGBTQ rights groups, labor unions and immigration advocates. Newsom has long touted a progressive record while also acting as a moderating counterweight to an overwhelmingly Democratic Legislature.
Newsom dealt a stinging defeat to LGBTQ activists by vetoing a bill that wouldāve asked courts to consider a childās gender identity when it comes to custody decisions. The legislation, Assembly Bill 957, was authored by Lori Wilson, who is herself the parent of a transgender child.

So, for Allah's sake, why, Democrats? Why on Mother Earth would the most liberal governor of the most liberal state veto three bills that are championed by three different factions of his liberal state? Any non-Democrat on here will catch on immediately, but see if you can figure it out as an intellectual exercise. The two others are:

The measure was a priority for organized labor groups like the Teamsters, who fear artificial intelligence and automation will lead to widespread economic upheaval, and tumult around self-driving taxis in San Francisco, where city officials fought an expansion of malfunctioning vehicles that have snarled traffic and blocked first responders.
He also breaks with the Teamsters, heavy donors to the DNC.
Why is he doing it? Here's a hint: he is certainly not doing it without permission from the Central Committee. Here's the answer:
They told him they are about to dump Biden like Biden dumps in his pants and to start moving to the middle, so he can easily defeat Harris in the Primary and have a snowballs chance in Hell against Trump. Actually, re-born as a moderate, he would have a good chance against Trump Far better than Biden.
