So you favor the country being run even more so by the corporations?
Unregulated, unethical capitalism results in corporatism (Fascism for those of you in Port St. Lucy) just as quickly as unfettered socialism does. They just take the high road/low road philosophy.
But, ethical, consistently regulated capitalism that does not hinder business beyond that which protects workers and consumers and competition provides the greatest possible chance for personal growth, success, wealth and advancement.
Inequality based on effort, success and just plain luck is not evil as long as everyone is given the same chance and value under the rules.
Where issues begin is when the playing field is no longer level and special privileges, protections and rights come into play. Then you quickly develop inequality based on corruption and favoritism, creating a lesser class of person. This on the other hand, is evil for it goes against one of the founding tenants of this nation of "All men are CREATED equal."
Where the error of equality often creeps in, is the forgetting of the single word, "created" in that statement. We all start out the same as our circumstances dictate, for no man chooses his hour or resources at birth. From there, we all have equal measure to become what we desire. Absolutely some will achieve over monstrous odds that time, life and providence put in front of them. Others will fail when every situation is for them due to failings on their own part. The key is, we are not guaranteed an equal result from our life's work.
When equality of results is mandated, you instantly must create special rules and circumstances in which to 'level the outcome'. The problem you quickly find is that some people are dynamos, able of doing and succeeding far beyond the wildest dreams of anyone who is interested in making all 'fair' for everyone. Fair, in some regards can turn quickly from blessing to pejorative, when you get into the arena of 'negative rights of achievement'. For a good sample of this, read Kurt Vonnagut's short story "Harrison Bergeron" and learn about his humorous, yet unsettling "Handicapper General".
While you rail and gnash your teeth against the inherent evil of the corporation, you must understand, they are the reason you have a quality of life so that you can come online and voice your opinion using inventions that started, often, from a single man and exploded into a major industry that now you find inherently disturbing. On the other hand, you support those who wish to end these same corporation's abilities to bring you such miracles of life that are nothing short of magic, lo, some 20 years ago, let alone 100.
So take into consideration that this nation is coming to a point of crisis where it must decide which path to follow fundamentally. Are you going to follow a path of special rules and circumstances that makes sure everyone is allotted the same measure of miserable existence? Or instead will you follow the path that allows you to achieve to your greatest ability and desire affording you and those associated with you a level of wealth, happiness and life far greater than you ever dreamed?
So what's it going to be?
