Fuxxk Nike

Looks like another boycott opportunity.
Hell Nike's already cost 200 bucks without the Tariff.. factories in Vietnam,Thailand and Korea pay 50 cents an hour to underaged workers. The final product cost less than $10 to make.

Never mind boycott they should be banned.

First, this isn't NIKE saying this BUT we already know that this is something that is possible and something I've noted before. China has far more people than the US. A much bigger market.

No, they won't be able to sell them for as much per shoe but they will be able to sell far more shoes.

On the other hand, what will be the repercussions here when the housewife goes to buy the kids news shoes for school and they cost far more which will be the case whichever way this goes.

I don't disagree.

Buy American and you'll never pay a tariff.

I addressed that. First there are very few shoes made in the U.S.

Simple jargons are worthless.

Now you can argue that we can build shoe factories. We can but that takes time and is expensive.

The housewife who paid $40 last year isn't going to be happy with paying $75.

LOL....My mom solved that problem. ;)

If I wanted Converse I had to mow yards.

There are always tiers of cost in consumables.
You train the kids not to be fashion hounds
That takes care of the cost all by itself.
Here's a clue ... Right now the dollar is about 85% debt with the remaining 15% of buying power
being taxed almost to zero.

You really didn't say anything. It will cost more to make brand X shoes in the U.S. than Nike's in Vietnam.

Simple truth.

Buy Ameican and you won't pay any tariffs at all, ever.

No shoe makers? Maybe some enterprising American will start a company. Who knows.

I don't care, not one little bit.

Get your shoes however you want, just stop whining about it. Man up.

Rambling again. The point is the housewife having to pay far more for her kids shoes.

Right, you don't care. As long as your politics is in power, you don't care.

Every pair of Nike "Airs" I have bought, have either blown out or squeak. I am through with the brand.

When I was a kid I got one pair of pf flyers at the start of each summer. They were so well made that none of them ever wore out. Got passed along to younger brothers, cousins and so forth. Damn things went on for 10, 15 years.

For 50 years, I've been screaming that the government needs to be smaller and that our jobs need to remain here in our country.

Others have flat out said no. They want to exploit the brown man, the aisan man, the brown adjacent man for cheap goods and shit wages.

Now those companies are having problems? If they had stayed in the US, I would care.

They didn't.

Fuck them.

No argument there.

Those who put "shareholder value" over everything else.

It's the consumer. The housewife stuck buying her kids shoes or food.
