This is why people who live in the Hood live in the Hood but I'm guessing it was a bunch of yuppies and large corps in drag who did all the donating.
This is really sad because there are poor black people in jail that shouldn't be there.
Long story worth reading: I had a friend (black) with combat related PTSD from Philly who was arrested for stick ups he didn't do. When the coppers came and got him...he fought with them. (he was a tough guy and took numerous officers to cuff him)
Well what happen was this guy was stealing his car and using it as a get away mobile and bring it back. So the coppers finial caught him red handed and he came clean and cleared my friend.
The day before he was suppose to go to court the city drop'd the charges and let him out. He did about 6 months and they he was innocent.

Funny how you thought it was great when they were raising money for Daniel Penny, oh my bad he is white, so that makes it right.Reverse the races and no one would have donated a penny because the press would have crucified the white kid. The black kid has already admitted his guilt but that won't matter. Black privilege means he is a victim and he skates.

I took a plea when I was charged with assaulting a officer along with 3 mistes. I could have easily beat it or had it throw out. It was at the height of cordova craz and they could have never got a jury. It was BS and I just wanted it over.
I got a $100 fine, 10 hours of community service and court cost. If I paid everything off it would have been over the next day.
When I talked to the Chief about it being dismissed he said to me Chuck...you are old enough to know how it goes. I told him he was right and I'll see you in court.
I got tazed, maced, had a gun pointed at me from about 4 ft and did 3 days in the County. I called my neighor who started it and brought his cop buddie with him...a punk about 50 times before I was cuffed up.
The copper paniced when he pulled his gun on me and I didn't obey his commands. I told him kill me...I won't feel a thing but you are going to have a hard explaining to the TBI why you did it.
Memory wise...it was almost worth the 5Gs it cost me.
