Front Yard Without Grass - My Project

Hello,

I turned my front yard into a garden without grass.

I got many pictures during the process.

Steps ---> My new front yard garden

Why? If you just like the look that is fine, but to me mowing is easier than all the work that comes with maintaining a fully landscaped bed yard. I certainly wouldn't want all those wood chips considering I live in termite country.

Grass can be alot of work and water but it can also be used to keep the soil in tact.

every year i find a good excuse to pour more cement in the yard

last year it was a great idea to make the driveway double wide

this year we added a nice patio in the back yard

and a nice big spot to park the RV and boat

a couple of more years of this and i will be able to ditch the mower

Reduces the water bill by a whole lot. Beside, I live in the desert.

If I lived in the desert I wouldn't even consider it a yard, but then again, I would not voluntarily buy a house in the sand box.
