Heres the thing.......before ten years ago, most people never heard of global warming. So they hear all the bomb throwing predictions for years after that never materialize. They see winter comes and it getting even colder and seeing bitterly cold start in October and run right though May.....and in the back of their head, they are saying, "WTF?!!". They are not sitting home researching the latest from the Royal Society.........they are running inside to sit in front of the fire and find the ball warmers. This is exactly why the public has no interest in climate change in 2016.......they are seeing the same climate shit they've been seeing their whole life AND they, in many parts of the country, are seeing longer and colder winters.....and had been expecting by now they'd be walking around in t-shirts in winter by now.
There is a gross misunderstanding of basic human behavior amongst those who are deeply obsessed with climate change. Human behavior is shaped by the environment people live in and the reinforcement and punishment dynamics within that environment. The fact is, nobody is going to ever give a shit about global warming until that environment changes significantly enough for the public to notice. That's the way it is..........the bozo's can croon about 0.7 degree's from now until the cows come home. It will move only a fraction of the population. When the folks start seeing waterskiing on Lake Michigan in mid-January for 3 weeks with bikinnis and boobs everywhere, people will care. Not a moment before.
