Maybe the Russian government is a murderer fighting to keep NATO off their borders as per the NATO agreement, and maybe the Israeli government is a murderer fighting back to defend itself from the evil Hamas while many Palestinians get in the way who support Hamas by 80% who either can't or refuse to leave the war zone, but why take it out on purely innocent athletes merely trying to compete in peaceful, sporting, international activities?
