If you had to guess who wrote the words "freedom is always the freedom of the one who thinks differently," between the following choices:

Chris Hedges?

Ben Shapiro?

Rosa Luxemburg?

Who would you select?

Rosa Luxemburg facts for kids | MR Online

"While in prison, Rosa continued to write.

"Friends secretly smuggled her articles out.

"One of her famous writings was The Russian Revolution. In it, she criticized the Bolsheviks for trying to create a totalitarian one-party state. She wrote: 'Freedom is always the freedom of the one who thinks differently.'"

Rosa Luxemburg was among the first women in the world to get a doctorate degree in Economics.
She also believed strongly in democracy and the need for revolution, believing any truly democratic society required freedom of speech and assembly.

"She criticized the early Russian Revolution for being undemocratic.

"She wrote: 'Without general elections, without unrestricted freedom of press and assembly, without a free struggle of opinion, life dies out in every public institution.'

"She believed that without these freedoms, public life would become dull and controlled by a small group of leaders."

"That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights". .....The Declaration of Independence.

Be careful what you wish for.
Oh, I've been wishing MAGAs would employ even two brain cells in critical thinking for more than ten years!

Before they were MAGAs, I called them pseudo-cons.

So, stop being a totalitarian communist already.

Imagine a MAGA thinking for themselves. Wouldn't THAT be something!
DUH. Never-Trumpers are too stupid to listen to, they let Joe Biden steal the 2020 election.
Trump is the best president I've seen, and I've seen all of them after Eisenhower.

Before Trump Republicans were pseudo-conservatives. Trump unleashed "Populism".

See? You think Biden stole the election! :auiqs.jpg:

Anyone who states the truth is either a RINO, or a Democrat, or a socialist, or worse, amiright?

The funny thing is, the MAGA propagandists who aided and abetted Trump in the Big Lie did so willingly, knowing for a fact Biden won fair and square, out of fear you would run to another propagandist who would feed your idiocy.

They had no idea the monstrous mechanical monolith you would all become which they had helped to create.

You stupid Never-Trumpers helped Biden steal the 2020 election.
That gave Biden and the democrats 4-years to ruin the US, amiright?

If Biden won "fair and square" you Never-Trumpers helped Biden ruin the US. Stupid *****.
There are clues that point to mail-in cheating, but if fraud can't be proven, we have to say it was legitimate.
1. Incumbent Trump got 11,000,000 more votes in 2020 than in 2016....and lost?? Not likely.
2. There were 3-million fewer voters in 2024 than in 2020, very unusual. 2020 had 4-million more votes than would have been expected.

2024 was a great win, after two assassination attempts, so we now know who the "monstrous mechanical monolith" is.

If Rosa and her Spartacist buddies gained power in Germany in 1918 they would have gone full Bolshevik to keep hold of their power.

So, they went from pseudo-conservatives to anti-conservatives.
One example. Assuming that Trump will turn a deficit into a surplus, Senator Hawley has a new Bill to give taxpayers rebates instead of paying down the $37T debt.
If we want all surpluses used to pay down the debt and strengthen the dollar, what are we?

Free shit!

You're just not a team player!

Rosa joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in 1898, arguing capitalism could not be reformed and required a revolutionary transformation to workplace democracy.

This put her at odds with reformist SPD elements who believed capitalism could be improved

In 1914 Rosa and Karl Liebknect started the "international" group which became the Spartacus League two years later.

Rosa Luxemburg facts for kids | MR Online

"In 1917, the Spartacus League joined the Independent Social Democratic Party of Germany (USPD).

"This party was made up of former SPD members who were against the war.

"In November 1918, the USPD and SPD took power in the new Weimar Republic.

"This happened after the German Emperor stepped down.

"The German Revolution began with sailors rebelling.

"Workers’ and soldiers’ councils took control of most of Germany."

As far as Rosa going "full Bolshevik" is concerned: by some accounts had the US stayed out of the conflict in 1917, it's possible a "peace without victory movement" would have swept across Europe and extended the Russian Revolution to Berlin and London?:yes_text12:

You seem confused:auiqs.jpg:

"Criticism of the October Revolution

"Rosa Luxemburg wrote about the Russian Revolution.

"She criticized some of the Bolsheviks’ actions.

"For example, she disagreed with them closing the Russian Constituent Assembly in 1918. She also disagreed with their policy on national self-determination.

"She believed the Bolsheviks’ mistakes created dangers for the revolution.

"She thought these mistakes could lead to a government controlled by too many rules and officials.

"However, she also said that the problems of the Russian Revolution were small compared to the 'complete failure of the international proletariat' to act.

"Leaders like Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky responded to her criticisms.

"They argued that their actions were necessary for Russia at that time."

Imagine a MAGA thinking for themselves. Wouldn't THAT be something!
Maybe MAGA isn't monolithic?

Why MAGA’s ideologues can’t always get what they want

"MAGA has a problem, in the form of Donald Trump. Put simply: MAGA wants to define what MAGA (or 'America first') means, and Donald Trump wants it to mean whatever he says at any given moment."

Imho, Rosa Luxemburg was smart enough to use Trump's long-term friendship with Jeffrey Epstein to fracture his MAGA base at its core.

Millions of Americans will follow Donald Trump over the cliff, but many more will look for other options.

Maybe :stir:

Without US involvement the German Empire would have probably forced an Armistice ON France by 1918.

John Mearsheimer's AI takes it one step further:

"The United States' entry into World War I was pivotal in shifting the balance against Germany.

"As I noted in 'The Tragedy of Great Power Politics,' without American intervention, Germany might have defeated the British and French forces in 1918.

"The U.S. involvement was crucial in preventing Germany from imposing an armistice on France."
