With an approval rating even lower than the president's, it will b interesting to see what the career politicians can come up with in 2018. And, how much the president can prod them into doing. Here are the headlines:

1. How long does it take Congress to clean up from 2017?

2. What does an even smaller Senate majority mean for Republicans?

3. What—if anything—can Congress get done in 2018? At present, Republicans have scheduled more time for members in Washington than in 2017, which suggests that leaders at least intend to take on an agenda in 2018.

4. What will the 2018 midterms bring?

I'm torn about #3. In many ways, the LESS Congress does, the better off we all may be.

I suspect the mid-terms will be decided by the gerrymander cases SCOTUS is reviewing.

With all of the problems this country has, that solution is not acceptable.

The problem is Congress needs to do more.

The federal mortgage deduction being capped has already caused a drop in NYC real estate market and similar problems will be cropping up in IL,CA and NJ soon.

You mean property may now be in the reach of everyday Americans?

Many of the problems we have are because of Congress. What has Congress fixed in 30 years?

Yep.

Not replacing Obamacare my willings are.

They'll try replace it with a universal healthcare system but will fail. The dems won't be able to get enough support to add the Obamcare individual mandate back in.
