One has no choice but to feel sorry for him. It would be downright cruel to ridicule him.

But don't forget: This Saturday (April 27, 2024) he is expected to make a speech at the Washington Correspondents' Dinner. Chances are that he will give a fantastic performance that equals his State of the Union. His supporters will scream "Bravo! Bravo!" (The speech should be live on C-SPAN.)

Even the crowd response was scripted.

To his credit he's convinced me to vote. He probably wouldn't agree with the result, but he makes a compelling case that elections have consequences.
