this is a public service announcement. If you want out of jury duty just say you have an appointment, I am sure they will let you and me off..................right.

Former Vice President Al Gore reports for jury duty in Tennessee dismissed due to schedule Fox News

Trial Court Administrator Tim Townsend says the two-term vice president was mostly unrecognized until his name was called when about 30 prospective jurors went for screening for a breach-of-contract trial.

He says Gore was dismissed because he had to attend an out-of-state meeting next Monday and wasn't available if the trial lasted that long.

I know a few people who were let out of jury duty because they were going to travel or because their company couldn't lose them for any amount of time. They generally got called back in 6 months.
