One naval officer who was interviewed claimed to recall Hale-Cusanelli saying in an apparent reference to the Holocaust: "Hitler should have finished the job."

It would have been very easy to contain anyone breaking a window and trying to get in that way, but somehow the doors just magically all opened to allow the intruders to flood into the building?
