BEIRUT, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Lebanon's former prime minister Saad al-Hariri made a rare visit to his country on Saturday, attending a ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of his father Rafik's assassination, live television footage showed.

He was expected to speak at the ceremony dedicated to his father, who was killed in a 2005 Beirut waterfront bombing that brought the country back to the brink of civil war.

BEIRUT, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Lebanon's former prime minister Saad al-Hariri made a rare visit to his country on Saturday, attending a ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of his father Rafik's assassination, live television footage showed.

He was expected to speak at the ceremony dedicated to his father, who was killed in a 2005 Beirut waterfront bombing that brought the country back to the brink of civil war.
