Former friends snap back at Trump already

Our former friends and allies are already pulling away, and he's not even back in office yet.

Trump's "you need us more than we need you, so nyah nyah nyah" foreign policy is going over great so far.

No doubt the groupies love this, since we'll have to cozy up to autocrats Putin and Orban.

Mexico warns Trump tariffs would kill 400,000 US jobs, threatens retaliation
Canadian officials blast Trump’s tariff threat and one calls Mexico comparison an insult

With friends like Mexico helping millions of illegal aliens to cross their territory and enter the US, who needs enemies?

Answered what? He'd be a far better President than Trump, if that's what you're asking.
Yeah because CO is such a paradise with Venezuelan gangs taking over apt building, cities smelling like pot and his sexual orientation would endear us to Middle East countries. Come on, man. He is a Democrat and not a moderate one.

His thought processes are so shallow and transactional that it doesn't occur to him that people have memories. The leaders of foreign countries don't appreciate being fucked with.

They're already pulling away. Evidently will help the MAGA jihadis destroy the administrative state. Among other things.

They've been made to think that things are so desperate that they're just feral now.

Cintrary to your statement:

Probably but your attempt at comedy is a dodge of the issues CO has due to Polis and his inaction.
You're providing the comedy.

Anyway, you're a Trump supporter. It's not like your opinion of Polis is going to carry any weight with me. It seems proper that you wouldn't like him.

LEFTWINGER, can you prove the validity of that Trump attack? If not, retract it and go away.
To be fair, almost everything trump says is a lie, but he did say he would impose tariffs on Canada and Mexico.

Why would we care?

IDGAF about the far left

🤷‍♂️

What was inaccurate about my post? Do tell.

Trump has been quite moderate. Nominating 3 left leaning persons to prominent positions including RFKJ. Are you not a fan of RFKJ?

Good luck with new home construction cost, as most lumber comes from Canada.

Untrue. Did JoeB tell you this? Canada needs us a lot more than we need Canada.

It appears there needs to be a caveat on the post.

Most IMPORTED lumber comes from Canada. The US produces by far, most of its own supply.

". . Trade policies, tariffs, and international agreements heavily influence the dynamics of lumber exports and imports. For example, the longstanding softwood lumber dispute between the U.S. and Canada continues to impact trade flows and pricing, highlighting how such issues shape the global lumber market. . ."

So most is domestic. Thank you.

🤷‍♂️

Plus we can use alternative materials to wood to build homes and decks. We don’t need Canada. They need us.

Make Southern Pine Great again.

Throw me into the briar patch Canada
You don't mind the warpage seen with the faster growing and more brittle texture of southern yellow pines? I know, I was not impressed as a buyer for a millwork wholesaler. I like it for treated lumber, though, just fine, though have to look through, dealing with knots and knowing where I would be using it. Interesting. What part of the building industry were you involved in, and at what level?

Nah... it'll be a whimper, not a bang.
Still interesting to watch.

They clearly enjoy the animosity. They really do get off on annoying and alienating others. I keep seeing them say how much they like it.

I'm going to sniff around for the psychology of that. Another group pathology.

EDIT: Checked with Chat GPT:

Yes, there are psychological terms and concepts that describe individuals who derive pleasure from provoking others or causing anger. Some relevant terms include:
  1. Sadism: This refers to deriving pleasure or satisfaction from causing pain, suffering, or discomfort to others, which can include emotional distress like anger. People with sadistic tendencies may enjoy frustrating or provoking others as a form of psychological sadism.
  2. Machiavellianism: As part of the Dark Triad of personality traits (along with narcissism and psychopathy), Machiavellianism describes individuals who are manipulative, exploitative, and often enjoy outwitting or manipulating others, which might involve intentionally angering them for personal gain.
  3. Oppositional Behavior: This is a pattern often seen in Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) or in people who exhibit defiance and hostility toward authority or societal norms. Such individuals might provoke anger as a form of rebellion.
  4. Troll-like Behavior: In the context of online interactions, people who engage in trolling—intentionally provoking anger or annoyance for entertainment—may exhibit traits like schadenfreude (pleasure in others' misfortune) or a lack of empathy.
  5. Antisocial Personality Traits: People with certain antisocial tendencies may enjoy causing chaos, distress, or anger in others as part of a broader pattern of disregard for others' feelings or social norms.
These behaviors may be driven by a combination of psychological, social, and personality factors, and they can vary greatly in severity and underlying motivation.
