Dateline: New York City - December 2024.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Subways are out of control and crime is quickly going back to the bad old days of pre Rudy Giuliani. Seems there is an illegal alien problem. NYC says a Byrna self protection device is "illegal" in their city.

I say that since the politicians have failed, you should carry one, just in case, and not be afraid to use it. Only FORCE is going to get through to the protected criminal element.

I will not travel to a big blue city, without one.

That looks like a mentally ill person.

Since we won't invest in mental health treatment or compel the mentally ill to get help, we are probably going to have to learn to live with people like this.

No. I'm not going to put up with that nonsense on the subway. If that guy tries it my personal space, he will get zapped.

Again: the politicians have failed, and tried to send Daniel Penny to prison for a long time for daring to do what needed to be done. I just saw a video of a woman getting lit on fire and kiled by an illegal alien while a cop strolled on by, doing nothing.

You're on your own at this stage.

Penny strangled a smaller, unarmed man to death. This is nothing to be proud of.

I agree, the politicians have failed. You see, in the past, we didn't have a "homeless" problem. The mentally ill were confined to institutions. Then some idiots on the Supreme Court ruled you can't lock a mentally ill person up unless he is an immediate danger. if you give him his meds, and he calms down, he's no longer an immediate danger and you release him. then he stops taking his meds and becomes a danger again.

The states stopped funding hospitals in favor of "halfway houses".

But since we aren't going to invest the resources to get people like Sebastian Zapeta-Calil or Jordan Neely off the streets and into care, we are going to have to learn to live with them.

You would have to discuss your issues with the ACLU.

When your President is able to avoid prosecution because he is mentally incompetent to stand trial and still be able to start new world wars, there is plenty of opportunity in this great nation for the mentally ill. In fact, it may well be an advantage in this new landscape we are creating.

Do like the politicians of New York and NEVER ride those subways.

Except Biden couldn't be charged even if the Hack IC could bring charges.

Try to keep on topic, okay. You won and screwed the country. Happy now?

Who created and pushed for the closing of Psychiatric Hospitals?
Why, Democrats of course. Led by Ted Kennedy and Jimmy Carter....

Mental Health Systems Act of 1980

US law

Indeed, Robert Hur hit the nail squarely on the head, Joey B, is too far gone mentally to be legally responsible for those actions and should be hospitalized rather than be president.

We do in my state. NY, and in particular NYC maybe that doesn’t happen

Elected a better govt

What’s an IC?

Xiden could have been charged had he not been senile

The guy probably did the right thing by giving him the drink because he was with a female that could have been his sister, cousin, girlfriend, etc... He needed to protect her.

I do blame the ACLU.

I also blame Republicans who refuse to invest in mental health treatment.

So let's stop the finger pointing and find a solution.
You should really blame the asylum employees for having been torturous and evil. That's why they ended up being shut down.

I'm not blaming anyone in particular since there is plenty of blame to go around. Only thing I care about is my right to self protection, since the politicians obviously do not care.
