Yes. As.part of their kingdom. It is not as if that land was indigineous as part of their home and ancestral place of birthDo you even know that Greenland is part of Denmark?
It’s been a possession of Denmark long before the United States or Canada existedYes. As.part of their kingdom. It is not as if that land was indigineous as part of their home ancestral place of birth
The citizens of Greenland have wanted independence for years. So in effect, Greenland is holding them hostage.and against their citizens will, it isnt just America. They have a right to self determination, even Denmark said this. I listen to interviews of some "citizens" there by European media and it is funny as hell to hear a guy from Greenland with a Dutch accent tell the camera "we dont want to be a part of America" lol. It’s been a possession of Denmark long before the United States or Canada existed
By your logic, all of North America could be handed back to Native Americans tomorrow
Greenland’s high standard of living is tied almost 100% to their status as a Danish territory. The citizens of Greenland have wanted independence for years. America.can make their case and Greenlanders can vote.Greenland’s high standard of living is tied almost 100% to their status as a Danish territory.
They’ve demanded greater local autonomy (and gotten it).
Most Greenlanders (based on polls) want eventual total independence, but not if it means a decrease in living standards.
Also, when given a binary choice between remaining part of Denmark vs becoming part of the USA, the overwhelming majority choose to remain attached to Denmark
