Foreign-Born Population In The U.S. Has Dropped An Astounding 1 Million In Only 6 Months....A Major Reason For Trump's Horrible Job Numbers

Disparaging the military, too.....you're all class, racist old man.
thousands of useless government workers fired, millions of illegals self deporting of course jobs go down but thats all good. Trump is transitioning the economy from debt based government sending to wealth based private sector jobs. Real jobs that create wealth

Net burden? Yes.

Never mind, degrading quality of life, environmental degradation, political instability, and the small stuff like traffic or just being loud and annoying in public.
ChatGPT:

"Bottom Line: Accuracy of FAIR’s Numbers

  • "Yes, those figures (15.5 million and $150.7 billion/year) are FAIR’s own numbers and are accurately represented.
  • But they are disputed by many demographers, economists, and mainstream researchers due to methodological concerns, inflated population counts, and disregard for longer-term economic contributions."

Q2 was just 3.3% dumbass.
If the population stagnates or even shrinks, it's going to be increasingly hard to have significant economic growth.

You really cling to any scrap of hope, don't you.

I’m sorry, but are you guys trying to sugar coat economic stagnation now?

Huh. I note you did not answer the question.

What is the POINT of a growing economy? Is it to serve teh interests of the nation? OF the business elite? or to serve the interests of the CITIZENS?

A declining population is obviously a problem for our current economic models. But, if the Japanese are managing it and NOT seeing a drop in the quality of life of their citizens, then that is a GOOD THING and something to learn from.

Lord knows that we have managed to keep our macro-economic number rising, but at the cost of a serious drop in the quality of life of our citizens. That is a policy FAILURE.

Trump and MAGAs love being tough on brown people, but it comes with a steep price. The simple fact is that Trump is hurting the economy with his brutal war on illegal immigrants.

From the article below. --

The president’s crackdown on illegal immigration, including workplace raids like the one at a Hyundai plant in Georgia on Friday, is driving down the availability of foreign-born workers, which also weighs on hiring. Over the first six months of the year, the nation’s foreign-born population fell by more than 1 million, according to the Pew Research Center.

Trump’s tougher immigration policy, coupled with the effects of societal aging, are reducing potential monthly job growth by more than 100,000 hires, according to Barclays.

The best answer given yesterday on meet the mess, was let's wait to see how many 2024 jobs are corrected now that the demofk is out of that office.

Economic growth happens with productivity increases, not necessarily population growth.
Will AI increase US productivity?
Will lower energy costs increase US productivity?
Will $10T of foreign CAPEX increase US productivity?
Will tariffs decrease productivity?

? Why not both?
When Biden had open borders and the US was swamped with 12,000,000 illegals. and they were given free food and free housing inflation skyrocketed to 12%. They were not allowed to work, so productivity slowed due to inflation.

Japan's economy is stagnant. They have major problems.

Definitely not a good model for us.

We all do. I wish them luck in managing it.

At least their cities are not literally third world shit holes, because of unchecked third world migration.

Inability to afford a home is a problem with supply, not with demand.

And to build more houses, what do we need?

Labor and materials.

What is Trump doing to the cost of those?

Increasing them.

Sounds good.

Except, we've had the cheap labor and cheap materials for 60 years, and that has led to the really shitty current situation.

So, your argument sounds good on paper, but reality says otherwise.

We've done your policy for the several generations and teh results are pretty much the OPPOSITE of what we want.

So, somehow, you are completely wrong.

How many times are you going to keep saying this same many-times-refuted bullshit?
Liar. Its common knowledge that Biden's open borders let in millions of illegals. Didn't you see the videos?

Biden even had an app for flying illegals into the US.
The CBP under Biden did not deport illegals, they were let into the US.

Not at all. They’re all related. You understand the idea of opportunity cost, don’t you?

If the US can’t produce a product at a competitive cost, the response should be to find a new product to produce that can be competitive.

That’s how you increase productivity.

Tariffs only insulate US industry from the lack of productivity.

I've been hearing a LOT though my peers, about restaurants having trouble finding staff to stay open.

I think in reality the labor managed to find other "opportunities" but that they were lower paying jobs, jobs existing only because of a pool of really desperate workers.

YOu know, i am old enough to remember that "increasing productivity" was one of the promises of FREE TRADE.

It was supposed to lead to more adn better jobs as our industry became more competitive.

instead those jobs were outsourced or given to h1b holders or illegals.

So, no. Your argument again, has been disproven by reality.

if the borders were open then what is this?

You beclown yourself and undermine your position by posting blatant counter-factual nonsense.

Really?
12 million new illegals under Biden didn't increase demand for housing?

It's hilarious!

What were the total number allowed in under Biden?

Don't forget the ones he flew in from their shithole countries.

I always thought a hallmark of capitalism was that increased competition produces the best results.

Tariffs are intended to DECREASE competition.

It's not just restaurants that are having a hard time. Domestic manufacturing, trades and agriculture.

That said, can you explain how our quality of life is improved by restaurants having to shut down or increase prices to cope with the shallow labor pool?

Not when they go live with family members.

My father in law lives ina rust belt small city. THey were flooded with various africans.

No one wanted it. But the local dem mayor and a local connected businessman were pushing it like crazy and there was no one to stop it.

The only thing hilarious here is the mass delusion on the right about a border suddenly being open as soon as Biden got into office with absolutely zero sane explanation how given that there were no major border policy changes and the actual border reform bill that was sunk by Trump in 2023.

You are irrational, easily manipulated dupes who uncritically swallow and then throw up on this forum ludicrous partisan falsehoods and hyperbole.
