Illegitimate poll is illegitimate.

As I pointed out, the poll question is something that Ron Reagan said, that today's Republicans would rather vote for Putin than a Democrat.

Holy crap, I thought that was a silly, hyper-partisan thing to say, so I checked.

Turns out that he might be right, at least to some degree, whether folks like the poll question or not.

Since it's hypothetical..........I'd have to make assumptions............I'd have to assume that Putin would have been born and raised here which is required to vote.......so then the hypothetical would shift to his personal character...............would he still be KGB...........not if he was born and raised here, being born here is required............

In all.........it's rhetorical.............and based on Fantasy...........so the answers are based on fantasy..........My dislike for the left is extreme..........I see no Kennedy's there.............President Kennedy would be scorned in today's left..............

Serious question, please expand on your answer.

Republicans really would vote for an authoritarian dictator before Joe Biden, which is hilarious to me. Trump is a wannabe dictator, so I guess the shoe fits.

It’s a flawed question bc Putin’s way of governing doesn’t align with America’s values and principles. Therefore it’d make more sense to ask if you prefer a president with Putin’s beliefs over a president with left/far left beliefs, because no matter what your bias or the radicals say no intelligent American wants a dictator, just as most intelligent Americans know our system was designed in part of avoid a dictatorship from becoming a reality.

Republicans can certainly take that into consideration as they vote in the poll and comment.

What we're seeing is a collection of their resulting opinions.
