14,904 rockets fired into Israel in just the last 2 years by terrorists that want to see the "Jew Holocaust" permanently.

The genocide of Jews is a leftist fashion statement.

It battles for attention with turning little boys into girls.
Gee, living next to people who want to kill you doesn't sound very smart.

Maybe they should try, you know, not living next to people who want to kill you.

Let's leave aside if the people are justified in wanting to kill you.

If I knew my next door neighbor wanted to kill me, whether it be because I fucked his wife or because my dog pooped on his lawn, I'd probably want to move. If he wanted to kill me because the voices in his head told him to, I'd still probably want to move.

Yes, you are an extreme antisemite.

I already knew that.

Please answer my point.

In what universe is Zionism logical? Being at war with your neighbors for 80 years is kind of... stupid.

Oh, that's right, if you scream "Anti-Semite", people might not even notice that Arabs are Semitic people.

Zionism is logical because it is simply an expression of the wish for national autonomy for people. How is it NOT logical? Are all similar belief systems illogical lalso?

Being at war with your neighbors is bad, but when they refuse to acknowledge that you have a right to live, that's what happens. Unless people take your advice and run away and let themselves be chased around the world and persecuted if they decide to live someplace. Jews tried that. It didn't work.

And if you understood the origin and meaning of the word "anti-Semitism"you would understand why your comment is ridiculous.

Not at all. Most nationalism is based on a national identity often tied to a region.

The Zionist or Israeli identity had to be wholly recreated, including resurrected Hebrew from a dead language because if they all spoke Yiddish, it would seen for what it was, another example of European Colonialism. In fact, Zionism was hatched in 19th Century Europe at a time where Europe saw the rest of the world as something to be carved up.

Well, you inability to live anywhere without antagonizing your neighbors is something you should work on.

Is your argument that because you can't live with the Europeans, it's okay for you to abuse the Arabs?

And if you understood the origin and meaning of the word "anti-Semitism"you would understand why your comment is ridiculous.

Actually, the problem is that you guys want to brand anti-Zionism as anti-Semitism, which becomes more absurd when you realize that we are talking about oppressing an indigenous people.

Yes, a man must know his limitations.

Of course, being a coward that has to always run is an option you choose.

So all those Muslim and Christian countries are not related to a national identity defined by religion.

so we have a couple of errors here. First is the claim that a Zionist identity had to be recreated. This is patently and provably false as Zionism is a core element to Jewish prayer which has been around, every day, for thousands of years. Also, While Israel wasn't generally a conversational language (though it was in certain cases) it was the written language, the language of scholarship and the language of prayer. It wasn't anywhere near dead.

Except for all the Jews who aren't from Europe. Except for all the Jews who never left Israel.

Then you don't know much about Zionism. Do you know about the aliya of 1777?

See, now you have moved from "your neighbor trying to kill you" to "you did someothing to deserve it." That's called victim blaming. Good job.

No. Is your argument that because people want to kill Jews Jews shouldn't live anywhere?

Strange. I don't recall doing that and yet I'm one of the "you guys." This doesn't address your ignorance of the history and etymology of the word. Good job ducking the point.

Zionism is logical for a people that have been attacked, persecuted, enslaved, uprooted, etc. for millennia, who have been denied the right to own real property throughout what is now Europe, subject to vicious and deadly pograms in Russia and elsewhere, who had 2/3rds of their European population murdered in the most brutal ways imaginable by the Nazis in the Holocaust and pretty much all lost most of their families, property, possessions.

That the U.N. was humane and concerned enough to give the remaining Jews a homeland of their own--a tiny piece of land smaller than New Jersey--where they at last could worship as they please, govern themselves and live their lives as they chose was a good thing and should be applauded by all honorable people. They chose Israel as sacred and historical for the Jewish population.

All honorable people should honor that and condemn and resist Arabs and others who still want to wipe the Jewish population off the face of the Earth.

What about ... Zionism

From what I understand Zionist were one group that rebuilt Israel. Am I correct in saying that there was Jews that did not belong to the Zionist.

ZIonism is maybe a couple different things.

Like Menachum Begun was Irgun? Not all people jewish are zionist?

Zionist Gaslighting in 3...2...1....

So all those Muslim and Christian countries are not related to a national identity defined by religion.

Except...they really aren't. America isn't a Christian Nation, it's an American one. Germany isn't a Lutheran Nation, it's a German one. Japan isn't a Shinto Nation, it's a Japanese one.

so we have a couple of errors here. First is the claim that a Zionist identity had to be recreated. This is patently and provably false as Zionism is a core element to Jewish prayer which has been around, every day, for thousands of years.

Sure. So why didn't they speak Hebrew in every day life? Nope, they spoke the languages of where they lived. Yiddish is just a corrupted form of German.

Also, While Israel wasn't generally a conversational language (though it was in certain cases) it was the written language, the language of scholarship and the language of prayer. It wasn't anywhere near dead.

Not in common use... dead language. Like Latin being used in the Catholic Church.

Except for all the Jews who aren't from Europe. Except for all the Jews who never left Israel.

Again, the Census of Palestine in 1800 recorded less than 7000 Jews in Palestine. There were 22,000 Christians.

Then you don't know much about Zionism. Do you know about the aliya of 1777?
See above.

See, now you have moved from "your neighbor trying to kill you" to "you did someothing to deserve it." That's called victim blaming. Good job.
So why do all your neighbors try to kill you? You should probably work on that rather than just trying to find someone you can beat up.

No. Is your argument that because people want to kill Jews Jews shouldn't live anywhere?
Or learn how to live with their neighbors. Certainly not "Steal someone else's land on a dubious religious claim". Because that would be stupid.

Strange. I don't recall doing that and yet I'm one of the "you guys." This doesn't address your ignorance of the history and etymology of the word. Good job ducking the point.

Yawn, the problem is you are like the kind of people who scream "Racist" whenever there's a valid criticism of something. That's why I don't take anyone who calls me an anti-Semite to be a bit silly, especially when your conflict is with other Semites.
