For those of you that believe "From river to sea, Palestine must be free"... answer this!

Netanyahu Never said it!
He (Netanyahu) went on to describe the operation: "To the remaining Hamas leaders and to the jailers of our hostages, I now say, lay down your arms... If you don't, Israel will hunt you down." The phrase "unprecedented op" was then used by news outlets like the Times of India to describe this action.
Pull you head out of your ass and/or your hyper-partisan bubble...

Yet Israel is committing genocide of the indigenous people.

Why do you support genocide?
This tired, pitiful assigned talking point has become so absurd that even the worst leftist should be ashamed to keep repeating it. The population of Gaza is close to what it was before Hamas started the war with Israel. If the IDF is committing genocide, they really suck at it. No Palestinians would have been harmed at all if Hamas had not forced them into becoming targets for propaganda purposes.

LMAO! As if Israel doesn't have it's warmongering billionaires too....and probably many more of them. In fact they probably finance a whole lot of the globalist power plays that the United States does.

Many countries have warmongering investors. That's why today they call it globalism not imperialism.

How so? What did the people of Palestine do to deserve collective punishment?
The people of Palestine had only to ensure that Israel had no need for security. They failed. The failure rests with the collective. And they need to be accountable for it. Not punishment, accountability.

The people overall have done nothing.
Certainly, they have. While I agree that individuals are not responsible for specific actions of their government, they are not completely free from their own collective decisions in choosing said government; in not demanding elections to replace their government; in supporting or permitting or celebrating terrorist acts and crimes against humanity; in radicalizing their children; in recruiting their children to the military; in not standing up for self-determination and human rights for all peoples; in denying the historical connection of the Jewish people to the homeland and usurping those rights instead; in not negotiating and accepting peace treaties. There are a thousand things that the people of Palestine might have done collectively that would have brought about a different outcome than requiring Israel to protect its existence and the lives of her citizens.

Those with no means to enforce their wishes have no way to change anything concerning those that do.

The "helpless" Palestinian argument. I get it. I've heard it before. Here's the thing with that. First, it is egregiously prejudicial towards the people of Palestine to claim that they have no capacity to form a State. I don't buy it. They are no less capable than any other peoples. Second, they have significant international support, both politically and monetarily. Far more support than many more deserving peoples seeking self-determination, such as First Nations of the Americas and Australia, Catalans, Kurds, Western Saharans. Third, if they truly, truly are absolutely incapable of forming and running a State, then they don't get one. It is a requirement.

They are people.

Im only concerned with stopping the killing of them.
As are we all.

Evacuate away from combat zones. Pressure Egypt to open its border to permit refugees to escape. Report to the IDF any known tunnel entrances, weapons caches, location of hostages, booby traps. Pressure or rise up against Hamas to release the hostages, lay down their arms, and surrender.

When rebuilding begins, work with the IDF and Israel and any other governments who are willing to provide financial and material assistance. Build water desalination plants, and electric grids, and schools, and hospitals, and universities. A port. An airport. Make trade agreements with Israel. Develop the economy. Fish, farm. Create a tourist destination.

Ensure Israel's security. Ensure the safety and security of Israel's citizens. The next time they are handed a self-governing country - choose peace.

Its hard to tell people to do what we will not do.
