I found the most striking information revealed by the Jan. 6 congressional committee's investigation had to do with 187 minute gap between trump's Ellipse speech and when he finally called off his mob. A period of time during which he made no calls to the AG, the Sec. of Defense, the DC NG, the director of Homeland Security, nobody, to stop the rioting in his name he was watching on TV. Ignoring staff members who implored him to do something.

While he understood he couldn't very well tell the assembled mob to go beat up Capital policemen within an inch of their lives, shit on the Capital building floor, try to impale officers with a flagpole, and force VP Pence and congressmen in to hiding in fear for their lives, I find it telling he did nothing to stop it for so very long.
