What are some of your favorite songs by the band Genesis?

My favorites include "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", "Follow You, Follow Me", "ABACAB", "Misunderstanding" and "Land Of Confusion".
All of those are good, but some of my most favorites are from after the separation and subsequent solo careers.

There's a wonderful video of the band's The Mama Tour from 1984 available on YouTube, ad free. Phil Collins is just fantastic, he's very funny and his vocals are top notch. As is his drumming, although he doesn't drum that much in the video. The rest of the band aren't bad either. If you're a fan of the band definitely check this one out!

Ahhhh.. it was OK if you were a stoner. Not much outstanding but maybe Drummer and Synthesizer.

Too much of a machine edited manufactured sound. Jethro Tull is more likeable for "earning it" not "buying it".

Rather have ELP for that.

I remember the first time I cut school.
Got rained on and smoked a joint in an abandoned house with my buddy Larry.
He stole his big brother's boom box with a broken antenna and Genesis' Duke in the cassette player.
We couldn't get WMMR to come in.
So, we played Duke over and over.
Stoned to the bone, freezing our asses off eating stolen chips.
I was 10.

I am 51 and can't hear 'Turn It On Again' without thinking about that day.
Hope when I die me and Larry can share another joint.

All I can tell you is not to drop acid and listen to 'A Trick Of The Tail' at the same time, or you may be in for one very strange evening.

You have been warned.

I was listening yesterday to a programme on the genesis of the classic
"I believe in Father Christmas " by Greg Lake .
Surely the classiest of all Xmas pop songs .
Celebrating 50 years .

Melded with Sergei Prokoviev's , Troika

Duke was a damn good album also.
