The food stamp program is limited to very few people, and is not free.
The highest subsidy you can get through food stamp programs is about 40%.
And the original purpose of the food stamp program, now called SNAP, was a subsidy to agriculture.

Global warming is a fact, and is not leftist at all.
It is neutral government agencies like NASA and NOA who prove global warming is real.
They all say the same, no matter if a republican president or democratic president.

But if you are implying that democrats are no more benevolent than republicans, I would likely agree with that.

Here's a personal, anecdotal, story.
A friend owns and operates a huge dairy operation.....milks 3,600 Holsteins daily.
We were playing euchre and drinking schnapps and barley-pops one evening at one of the local 'deer camps' . He was extolling how awful it was that food stamps were so available to people. He just knew some went to people who were just lazy and didn't deserve 'em.

Which invited some snickers from me (tho not just me.)
And whereupon one of the more assertive tablemates informed him---(words are approximate. It's been a while):

"Look, you knotheaded kraut......don't you know how much of that ocean of liquid you create everyday goes into the SNAP program as powdered milk? as cheese?
You want to cut off your nose because you are afraid some black family in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood is gonna get a bag of groceries?
