For all the justified focus on trump's depravity I think we need to identify the real problem.

Does stealing money from a charity, trying to steal an election, declaring bankruptcy multiple times, promising to end the constitutional order as it has been for over 200 years, being a convicted felon, being under federal indictment, and being the worst president in US history qualify trump in your mind?
I believe Trump has filed for bankruptcy with 10 companies out of the 500 corporations that he's formed. That's such a remarkable success to failure ratio that it's almost mind boggling.
Questioning an election is not the same thing as stealing one.
His "conviction" is being overturned by an appeals court as we speak. That he WAS convicted says more about a corrupt New York DA and judge than it does about Trump!

What Trump did before Covid was amazing. People want that back. THAT qualifies Trump!

Democrats hate individual success as much as anything.

You're running a 80 year old felon. Your party is a joke.
Will you be apologizing for that statement when Trump is exonerated by the appeals case now looking at what Tish James and Judge Engeron did in that trial?

The most an appeals court will do is lower the amount Trump is liable for by a few million. The fraud case was rock solid. They have his books. Anyways, that was a civil case. The hush money case was a criminal case and that's where he earned himself a felony conviction. Trump wants the appeal handled by a federal court and there is no ruling as of today. Basically he wants to delay the sentencing until after the election and he has been successful.

They're going to toss the verdict, Arlette. You can tell by the questions they've asked...questions that Tish James' office had no answer for. They asked where this charge had ever been brought against another party and then savaged the examples that James' attorney provided saying they were nothing like the Trump case.

Letitia James is the NY Attorney General. She brought the civil fraud case against Trump. I believe Trump was prosecuted under the Martin Act, which is broad.

Do yourself a favor, Arlette. Watch the appeals court proceedings. Listen to the grilling the prosecution is getting over this case. Trump's conviction WILL be overturned! Tish James' behavior was so out of line that it may very well cost her, her license to practice law. Trump isn't going to paying any of that fine. Judge Engeron is going to get slapped down for the rulings he made from the bench. This was one of the most blatant examples of selective prosecution I've ever seen and the appeals court is going to make it right.

We do not believe her or you.

You are delusional.

I think that’s what’s behind their hatred of Jews. As a people, we are successful - despite two millennia of persecution, expulsions, and mass murder.

My avatar gives a clue.
Now that I know the meaning of your avator, I’d have to say you’re half right. That explains the antisemitism on the right. The much more prevalent antisemitism on the left is due to their hatred of successful people.

Correct.

In fact, Trump is the product of that hatred, intolerance, and xenophobia, of fear, ignorance, stupidity, racism, bigotry, and misogyny, of a Republican party that for the last 50 has become more authoritarian, ultimately embracing fascism.
In support of the assertion misogyny is a feature, not a bug, look at how they have accused Harris of ******* her way to the top in CA politics. Trying to diminish her accomplishments because they are so much more impressive than the fat boy with the silver spoon.

MAGA isn’t going anywhere even if he loses.
I think that's right. Because the emotions that animate it are as old as human history. Hate, cruelty, prejudice, an impulse to be violent have been around a long time.

A majority never has and I suspect never will.
If he wins the electoral college, then the American people chose him.

He’s not running to win the popular, as that would be a different type of campaign.
