Bump. Not a rhetorical question.
What is your view on the 230 point bonus blacks get in Ivy League College admissions?
Is that racism? To get special treatment for being a certain race?
Which party supports that?
What's your view on legacy admissions ? Which is basically white affirmative action .
I note you did not answer my question on which party supports a 230 point race based bonus.
But I will answer yours anyway.
1. Is it? I haven't seen any breakdown to support that claim.
2. The bonus from that is less than for black skin.
3. And no, it is not white affirmative action. A bonus given to that group does not help the average white kid applying for an university slot.
4. Legacy admission is limited to some university admissions. The Fear of lawsuits/affirmative action/multiculturalism/diversity/leftism paradigm that drives such anti-white discrimination is universal in our society.
Will you now address the 230 point bonus that black skin nets the ACTUAL Privileged Class for Ivy League Admissions?
I don't know about your 230 point thing but I'll answer your question .
It's been well documented. It is a statistical fact. Due to a number of motivating factors, Ivy League Colleges discriminate in favor of black students to the point of giving them an effective bonus of 230 points of SAT score.
This is race based discrimination in favor of blacks for a very important resource ie, Ivy League Educations.
And if ties into legacy .
It does not.
For almost their entire history Ivy's specially kept minorities out of their school. Meaning all their graduates were white . Meaning their white kids got accepted under legacy . The result is a white affirmative action .
That was not "white affirmative action". That was racism. And it was quite some time ago. YOu are punishing white people in the TEENS, for the sins of other people from generations ago.
That is morally indefensible.
So part of schools AA programs is to make up for past wrongs .
Got it. You believe that two wrongs make a right. I strongly disagree.
But there's a 2nd part. Schools want to provide an all around education for their students. Part of that is mixing them wh students from different backgrounds. (Race , nationality , regional ,economic background ) . So little Jonny blue blood who's never exposed to black People , finally gets a chance to mix wh someone different . Like he will have to do in the real world .
That is one of the justifications for the blatant anti-white discrimination. It is as is most rationalizations for racism, complete bs.
1. You assume that the whites being discriminated against are rich. This is not true. Rich students have parents with the resources to find their way. It is middle class and poor white who bear the brunt of this discrimination.
2. People do not have to have different skin color to have different cultures. That is a fallacy on the part of the racists who support this racist policy.
3. Being exposed to different cultures is not really educational. It might be "Cool" but there are very few educational fields where that really contributes.
The purpose is not to keep whites out .
An interesting claim. ANd one that is irrelevant to the young white students who's transcripts would have put them into Ivy League Schools except for their white skin.
Obviously since a big majority of the student body is white .
Not true as shown by this graph from 2011.
Ivy League - Wikipedia
According to this, non-hispanic whites are significantly underrepresented compared to their percentage of the US population.
AND mostly less than a majority of the student bodies.
There are a bunch of Asians in the ivy now .
If schools only chose by sat , you'd have a point . But they don't . There's all kinds of subjective criteria.
And u speak as if discrimination and racism has ended . It has not .
Anti-Asian discrimination is an additional factor, but one that does not hide the fact that blacks are discriminated in favor of, based on race.
That is the DEFINITION OF RACISM.
By looking at the numbers as a whole, that is what pulls out the information that those "subjective" criteria include discrimination against whites and in favor of blacks and browns.
I agree that racism and discrimination has not ended. That was my point. There is legal, universal and institutionalized anti-white discrimination in this nation, that will grow and become MORE institutionalized if or when the dems get their way.
