Jeez and I thought back to school ads were pushing it..

One more month until the kids are back in school...
Two more months until my birthday...
Three more months until FALL!!!
Four more months until my anniversary...
Five more months until Christmas.


Makes the wait go faster if you break down into baby steps.

I remember being in high school and working. I'd start buying gifts in the spring and wrapping them as soon as I got home. By summer, I started making ornaments to use and 'save' for when I had my own place.

Oh to have expendable income and time again!

I wouldn't know. Oh I did love those days, I can't believe I was in such a rush to move on. I started freezing cookie dough by the end of October.

Yeah, well I once sprinted from the commissary to the PX to buy my brother a gift 30 seconds before closing time on Christmas Eve with my dad parked outside waiting to pick me up.

A week earlier I was late coming back from lunch because I was buying my mom a necklace.

Probly bought my dad some cologne that year...like every other year.

I did start Christmas shopping, but I won't be excited about it until at least October.
