That is a great priority!

As the article says.. That's all Americans need is more audits from the IRS

:)
Got to get it past the Democrat controlled Senate...and you know how much Democrats love the IRS...

...and that's CBS reporting...not a rightwing site.

If we had a fairer tax code this probably would be less of an issue.

I don't think the House can defund them (already approved funds) on it's own. There is the rescission process they would have to go through.

They could scale the IRS back funding-wise during the next budget fight though. ;)

Hopefully they will start making good on their promises. This is a good start but I won't get too excited till it's done and over with.

Red Meat for the rabid dogs of the pack.

Guess what we're gonna do the libs next!!!!!!!

"On the very first day, we’ll repeal the 87,000 new IRS agents because we think the government should be there to help you, not to go after you," McCarthy said.

Also, they will investigate the creepy Gain of Function issue, how the US was possibly (knowingly?) involved in that..

Only cheaters (felons) are happy with this desire. The interesting factor in this matter is the hypocrisy: It will oppose those who "steal" and out of the other side of their foul mouth, complain about the National Dept.

I considered to thank you for your post, however, if you suggested a fair tax code wouldn't you explain the last "reform" on the tax code signed by trump?

Did you know the IRS is a shadow of what it was 20 years ago regarding size and staff? You mucks make it sound like it's one HUGE fn department.

Wasn't it reported that half the people pay no federal income taxes? The problem is when it starts it ramps up pretty quickly. To begrudge a taxpayer an extra couple hundred dollars or so in tax returns if inventive is nothing. Progs are going to go for this.
