Oh what a scary movie that is! When I was a kid and saw it for the first time, it almost gave me nightmares! It was just on TV, I suppose part of Halloween month, I had fallen asleep watching TV after eating dinner and the scary noises were in my dreams as I heard it in my sleep. Helluva way to wake up. Pretty good 1950s B movie.

It starts out with these "things" attacking people out of nowhere. They are invisible and all you hear is this sound they make which is this horrible sound as they slither through the woods. Gives you the creeps. Finally towards the end, something finally makes them visible, it is killing you to see what these things are, and they are these gruesome ugly brain-things, just a brain on the ground with antennae with a spine behind them for a body and the spine kind of pushes them along like an inch-worm. If they get close, they jump up and attack you and eat you.

But visible, they can be shot with a gun and killed until some central thing that drives them is destroyed and they all fade away turning into a puddle of goo. A pretty good horror B&W movie to watch with the kids or if you are stoned. Guaranteed to keep them under the covers with the lights on afraid to come out asking for a drink of water!
