You no, there is a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things. Trump et al seem intent on being as nasty as possible in everything they do.

Intentions matter and since Trump et al love to brag about their exploits, it' fairly easy to draw a line from stated intentions through follow-up to harm.

At least no one is pretending to be anything other than exactly who and what they are now.

A federal judge early Saturday morning blocked Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency from accessing sensitive Treasury Department records that contain Americans' personal data such Social Security numbers and band account information.
U.S. Distrcit Judge Paul Englemayer issued the order after 19 Democratic attorneys general sued the Trump administration. The suit, filed in federal court in New York City alleges the Trump administration allowed Musk's team access to the Treasury Department's central payment system, in violation of federal law.
The payment system DOGE was able to gain access to handles payments for tax refunds, Social Security benefits, veterans' benefits and much more. The system is responsible for sending out trillions of dollars every year and contains a expansive network of Americans' personal and financial data.

Trump charged Musk's so called Department of Government Efficiency, often referred to as DOGE, with discovering and eliminating what The White House has deemed to be wasteful government spending.
DOGE’s access to Treasury records, as well as its inspection of various government agencies, has ignited widespread concern among critics over the increasing power of Musk, while supporters have cheered at the idea of reining in bloated government finances.
In a statement to the AP, New York Attorney General Letitia James, whose office filed the lawsuit, said DOGE’s access to the Treasury Department’s data raises security problems and the possibility for an illegal freeze in federal funds.
“President Trump does not have the power to give away Americans’ private information to anyone he chooses, and he cannot cut federal payments approved by Congress,” said James, a Democrat who has been one of Trump’s chief antagonists. “Musk and DOGE have no authority to access Americans’ private information and some of our country’s most sensitive data.”
Also on the lawsuit are Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
A federal judge on Friday also temporality blocked the Trump administration's effort to place 2,200 from the United States Agency of International Development on paid leave.

The White House did not immediately respond to The Associated Press' request for comment.

The workers associations argue that Trump lacks the authority for his swift dismantling of a six-decade-old aid agency enshrined in congressional legislation.

The wrong way to do things is to give the enemy time to cover up and destroy the evidence.

It was revoked because Biden is a huge national security threat at the seat of the corruption.

Letitia James, about as corrupt as they come and one of the broken and busted crooks who tried to destroy Trump to keep him from running.

Name one person Trump tried to give any private information to? DOGE is not after private information but government corruption.

Thanks for the Who's Who list of corrupt blue states. Aren't these pretty much the same states which all voted for Harris?
The government suing to hide its own corruption, and you are their useful idiot trying to help them.

Why are you against cutting waste and fraud of your tax dollars?... can't you imagine what that money can do for our nation?... we have people living in the streets...

Kinda late to restrict access when they may already have a 1:1 copy of the treasury database anyway. They have what they need.

The left acted too slowly. One step behind

I work with data and secured systems in various scenarios. I'm not against cutting out waste, it's the way they're going about it that is at issue and apparently a judge has some concerns as well.

The order includes the destruction of anything that they have already downloaded/accessed.

I don't see how this flies. These are all executive agencies. Trump has the power to authorize whoever he wants. This lawfare nonsense is a gross overreach by people, in this case AGs with no legitimate standing.

It's got to be terrible to lead a life full of suspicion about every little thing. Why don't you read the filing to find out what our government is actually doing.

It was revoked because Biden is a huge national security threat at the seat of the corruption.
Biden's retired, the revocation of his security clearance is no big deal to me or even the government from what I've heard in the news since they stopped sending him classified "briefing" since his presidential term ended.

Uh huh

You don't know what they're doing any more than I do, but at least I know some of the things they shouldn't be doin

Thanks for the Who's Who list of corrupt blue states. Aren't these pretty much the same states which all voted for Harris?
I didn't look, I just know that this is the third order to cease & desist that's been issued that I'm aware of. One of them did originate here in federal court in Washington State though

Sincerely doubt they'll cooperate.
which then shows intent. When I can't get a subject who's been served to comply with a court order then I ask the court to issue a bench warrant for their arrest.

So you think they're not going to comply or they're going to lie and say that they complied and keep the data anyway? Cause that almost sounds like criminal conspiracy to me.

He has you all bamboozled into thinking he can do anything he wants and maybe he could IF he would do things PROPERLY but he never does.

This is an internal matter within the executive branch and its corresponding agencies. The Constitution is clear as to where the power of running the executive branch lies.

The left is guilty and looking for a place to hide their criminality. As usual, they choose to hide behind corrupt liberal judges.

Very good.

Fortunately we have a semi-functional judiciary that can hobble Trump’s fascist agenda as Trump continues to violate other Federal laws.

How is this a good thing TK? Put the shoe on the other foot for a moment. What if Biden had a Soros led group going into our systems this way?

No or insufficient security clearances, no ethics training or signed ethics agreements to hold them accountable, access to some of our most critical and sensitive systems and data. Ability in some of these cases to alter/rewrite CODE with NO chain of accountability, NO transparency. That is your confidential data…SS numbers, birth dates, pay and tax information, disability information.

What are they going to do with it? Why would you trust them?
