NEVERTHELESS, the way it was supposed to work was a DISTRICT court judge (these are the trial judges, the first "rung" in the judicial ladder) makes a ruling and the only injunction he/she puts on his/her judgment is to JUST KEEP IT THE SAME WAY IT IS until the appellate courts weigh in. the mantra is DO NO HARM. oR IT WAS.

Then the 11 appellate courts work like mini supreme courts. Their decision is the "word of God" in their appellate district.

UNLESS the supreme court issues some order while the appeal is waiting. Generally, to get the Supremes to weigh in, you need two appellate district courts with conflicting decisions.

The SCOTUS decision was on the utilization of the HEROs Act.

The SCOTUS didn't say he couldn't use another method.

Just like Judge Bosemen issued a TRO based on the Aliens Enemies Act and Trump used a different INA law to deport a 2nd group to CEPOT in El Salvador.
